23.01.2022 This paper by The Rodale Institute was released last week. Packed with facts, it's a good one to have in your back pocket should you ever find yourself arguing the benefits of regenerative agriculture (on a global scale). ==> https://bit.ly/3ih2uWP

17.01.2022 Adding more diversity to our paddocks after recent spring rain, 96mm for October, 580mm YTD. Quite a contrast to the previous 3 years. Sowing into freshly grazed sward - in this case mostly Arrowleaf clover. Seeds include millet, sorghum, sunflowers, buckwheat, tillage radish, corn, safflower, oats, peas, lentils, linseed, chicory, plantain. It’s a great feeling to see the land so alive and starting to function as it should.

16.01.2022 Looks like this whole 'regen-ag' thing has people talking - there's even a Netflix movie on it! Well long before Netflix got interested we recorded a Regen-ag e...pisode of our podcast Gippslandscapes and you know what? It's our most downloaded episode! Why not check it out yourself wherever you get your pods? Happy listening.

16.01.2022 In the world of managing our sandy soils, African Love Grass has been quite a conundrum. Our journey of education and innovation is ongoing and extensive, full of surprises and light bulb moments. It pretty much boils down to having diversity of green plants and soil biology and, crucially, strategic livestock management. By approaching our ALG using the wisdom of author Walt Davis, that "in nature there is no competition, only mutual benefit", we have made some very exciti...ng observations. The African Love Grass plants are large, mature, alive and our seeder has cut right through them depositing a diverse mix of seeds and biology. These seeds have germinated and thrived. What is the relationship between all these plants? What is happening underground? Sometimes it is the very problem itself, if we listen and observe and react positively, that leads us to the desired solution, building layer upon layer of life and complexity. That's our aim anyway https://waltdavisranch.com/books Integrity Soils Ltd, Integrated Soils, Gippsland Agricultural Group, Healthy Farming Systems,NutriSoil, @Down Under Covers, Ferti-Tech, Nutri-Tech Solutions, @TopSoils

13.01.2022 It’s sowing time!

13.01.2022 Super excited to pick up a line of 70 PTIC heifers all the way from Geraldton WA, a 4000km journey. Mix of Santa, Brahman, Droughtmaster, Angus, Shorthorn, Hereford and their crosses. 2 calves arrived with the truck and another was born within the first hour. Have to admit I love them already

09.01.2022 Shifting the mob, developing a functioning herbland. This moment in time shows the aboveground diversity, a wide variety of green plants managed by our eclectic mob of herbivores, which is stimulating our underground diversity, building resilient soil.
