23.01.2022 Last Friday some of our Senior Robotics Team members took time from their relaxing holiday break to come into school and participate in the National Robotics Challenge. Being held virtually this year the boys had to write code and manoeuvre their robot through 5 games. Judges scores were released and while our team didn't place we are still so proud of their achievements and efforts!

22.01.2022 Day 2 of Year 9 camp and the kids (and staff) are having a ball! High ropes, canoeing and bit of backyard footy and cricket, what a day!

22.01.2022 Not your average exam! Today the Yr 10 Home Economics students completed their block exam making celebration cakes. Over two days students had to bake and then decorate their cakes to match the success criteria: A Celebration Cake. All of the students did a fantastic job and we are very proud to show off their hard work!

21.01.2022 This term in Year 9 English students have been reading William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. To help them with their assessment, students have been watching the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2019 production of the play. 9E’s teacher, Rachael Martin, reached out to two of the actors, Joseph Arkley (Katharina) and Claire Price (Petruchia), to see if our students could write letters to the Company about their experience of watching the play. Both actors responded very enthusiastically and said they would love to receive letters. Students in 9E recently completed these letters and they are now ready to be sent off! We are sure their expressions of gratitude will be well received by all the actors of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

20.01.2022 Some of year 9 students have had a fantastic time at UQ Gatton campus today! They had the opportunity to observe cutting edge Agricultural science and veterinary and wildlife science. Their behaviour was outstanding and all learned a lot from wildlife skull identification to how to manage a farm.

Please make sure you have cancelled any automatic top-ups on your Flexischool account and you use any money currently on your account before the end of year as Flexischools does not refund account money and we cannot transfer it. 19.01.2022 ATHLETICS CARNICAL | With the planned Athletics Carnival tomorrow, we have considered the weather and at this stage the plan is to run the day as scheduled. However, all students are to wear full school sports uniform and be prepared to learn (bring notebooks, pencil cases etc) in the event that we need to reschedule at the last minute. If the event is rescheduled, students and staff will follow their normal Friday timetable.

Students who currently participate in the school’s BOYD program are to ensure that they bring their laptops to school in Week 4 and Week 5 as they will be required to participate in a platform migration activity. From 23rd November, the current BYOD platform will be switched off, and any student who has not on-boarded a new BOYD platform being utilised at the school will lose network access.
