17.01.2022 Here's some more of the brutal pruning that happened in our #CommunityGarden in winter. These photos show the pruning of our Moorpark Apricot Tree in June, the growth now in November and the young tree in 2016. Moorpark Apricot Tree - Yes, sorry everyone. This tree has grown spectacularly well in this spot. It is sheltered from the weather and afternoon sun and is in a depression so gets a lot of water. The trunk had grown way too high and the branches were about double a use...ful height. It produced just a couple of fruit last year and we couldn't reach the top standing on the raised platform behind it. This will be another one to watch as we try to get it under control and get it in good shape and a usable height.
