25.01.2022 Welcome to Woody ( a petite 10kg) and Skippy who joined us today. Hopefully we will collect Sam next week bringing the total to 6 in our kangaroo enclosure.
25.01.2022 We have an unexpected visitor in the park today. He is currently strolling along the front road climbing the trees, so please take care when entering and exiting the park.
25.01.2022 Axel spends moost of his days out of the pouch now, and is interacting well with the other roos and visitors.
21.01.2022 Rusty and Danny's day just went from bad to worse. First the rain played havoc with their hair, and then the shearers arrived........
21.01.2022 Axel is slowly emerging from the pouch.
19.01.2022 Thank you to all residents and staff who attended our Christmas Party yesterday. The weather was perfect, and I think everyone enjoyed their BBq lunch. A special thank you to Father Christmas and Mrs Claus who took time out from the North Pole to visit the children.
19.01.2022 Hard at work repainting the speed bumps.
18.01.2022 Psst-have you heard....theres something in the pouch!
18.01.2022 It's a lovely spring morning and our newest residents are out enjoying the sunshine in the playground
17.01.2022 Just a few suggestions to make the most of the holiday season.
16.01.2022 Thanks to all the residents and guests who have brought to our attention the two kangaroos grazing in the playground each evening. These are not escapees from our fauna park, but a mother and joey who come in through the creek bed every night to enjoy some fresh green grass. In the mornings they can be seen outside our enclosure chatting with Yogi.
16.01.2022 Looking for somewhere to rent in a quiet leafy location? Prefer a no maintenance lock up and leave lifestyle? We currently have a two bedroom unfurnished unit available @ $256 per week. Suitable for a maximum of two persons. Contact the office for further details.
16.01.2022 We would like to reassure all park residents and guests that the incident reported today in the media was not a random attack, and that there is no need for ongoing concerns with regards to safety.
15.01.2022 This week we have welcomed the first of our new KI kangaroos from Cleland Wildlife Park- Tabitha and Juliet- who are settling in well. Yogi loves having the company and all three have bonded well. Hopefully within the next two weeks we will add another three to complete our fauna park.
14.01.2022 The arrival of Woodcroft Park's vending machine.
13.01.2022 For all of you who have enquired recently about the alpacas, they are still enjoying farming- here's Rusty with his new best friend.
13.01.2022 It's only been a week since they arrived and Tabitha and Juliet are settling in well. For the first time today they ran to the fence to welcome visitors (or look for food). Hopefully next week our numbers will increase by another three, and when the winter grass comes in, we will have a mob grazing at the top.
12.01.2022 Remember daylight savings ends this weekend. Turn your clock back Saturday night before you head for bed.
11.01.2022 Wishing all our Park residents and guests a safe and relaxing Easter Break. For those guests travelling from interstate, just a reminder that the local retail shops will only be open on Easter Saturday.
08.01.2022 We received an update from Rusty & Danny yesterday. They are loving their farmstay, and are fascinated by the small woolly creatures that keep appearing. Taking their new job very seriously they inspect each new arrival to make sure all is okay, before spending the remainder of the day grazing and chasing butterflies (whilst keeping a look out for foxes).
08.01.2022 Father Christmas has arrived in town, and it's great to see some of the residents getting into the Christmas spirit with their light displays Just a reminder to all park residents that Christmas Party RSVP's are due this week -no reply - no sausage! Our thanks this year to Tim Stewart who made our wonderful timber tree. If you would like Tim's details please drop into the office.
07.01.2022 Our koala family are embracing the heat with an afternoon siesta.
07.01.2022 Our thanks to a keen eyed resident who spotted one of our horses in trouble yesterday. Ricky is well known as the glutton of the park, and having employed stealth mode to go where no horse should be, unfortunately his love of alpaca mix resulted in the empty (it wasn't to start with) bag becoming firmly wedged over his head and shoulders, and no amount of hoof stomping was helping. Luckily he had Harvey with him as support - although we are not sure if he was assisting or laughing?
07.01.2022 CAUTION. Please drive very slowly through the park this morning. One of our kangaroos has jumped the animal enclosure fence and is currently roaming the park.
07.01.2022 We would like to express our thanks to the CFS, SA police, SA Ambulance and other emergency personnel who assisted at the park today. An unknown substance was found in a cabin, and had affected the health of cleaning staff. It was determined that a fire extinguisher had been discharged, and then water mixed with the dry powder resulting in ammonia fumes. All staff members have a clean bill of health now, and all actions were precautionary. Thanks to all for your concern and good wishes.
06.01.2022 Thank you to all those members of the public who have been on kangaroo watch. With a bit of luck, a large butterfly net, and Michael and Johns perseverance, Yogi is now back home after an adventurous day.
05.01.2022 With the warmer weather our resident plovers have now added at least one to their family (there may be more sheltered under mum's skirts). Please take care when driving in the centre part of the park, and beware of dad swooping.
04.01.2022 Management and staff would like to wish all Park residents, guests and their extended family and friends a safe and Merry Christmas.
04.01.2022 Rusty & Danny packed their bags today and waved us farewell. Tired of the mud between their toes, and needing to stretch their legs, they have gone on holidays to a lovely family home on acreage. From these photos they are loving the open space, and the company of the resident chickens, goats and sheep. Hopefully they will earn their keep by watching over the flock - with lambs due any day - and deterring the foxes.
03.01.2022 Sam, the last of our KI kangaroos has arrived, and its a slightly soggy looking group today. This brings our kangaroo total to 6.
03.01.2022 Over the years park residents, guests and local visitors have enjoyed interacting with our kangaroos. Unfortunately today Milo was bitten by a snake, passing away quickly. He will be greatly missed. Our thanks to SA Police for their compassionate and speedy attendance.
02.01.2022 More koala spam. Mother and baby have been resting outside the office all day, but strong winds have forced them to move. The litttle one sounds more like a duck - but both very cute.
02.01.2022 Heartfelt thanks to all those residents, guests and staff members who assisted Hayden with his school community project, fundraising $355 for the Hut Street Centre, and achieving the goal of providing 200 people with three meals for a day. The money was given to the centre today, along with donations of clean towels and blankets. Your support was appreciated.
01.01.2022 We have finally removed the four hundred tonnes of dirt behind the dumpsters.
