24.01.2022 Full cataloguing for online sales takes a lot of time. So far only 2500 out of 13,500 books have been done. To give some idea of the extent of our holdings a simple A-Z author list has been put up on the shop web page (www.woodendbookshop.com.au) in the categories of general fiction, sci-fi/fantasy and crime/thriller/mystery/spy fiction. 21.01.2022 We will still be open during the stage 3 restrictions in regional Victoria. Of course business is down with about 50% of custom coming from the city. Still we're open when the library is closed and our books are around$6-$8 usually. I will deliver within the Macedon Ranges area and parcel post books to you in the city at cost (i.e $8.95 up to 500g, $12.20 500g to 1k - this covers most books). 01.01.2022 New window displays are of the best crime authors and the AFL. Please note we have 33 metres of crime fiction novels on the shelves. Among the AFL books on display are: Jack Dyer's The wild men of football; The heart of the game - about football on television; The mission - Geelong's quest for the flag in 2007; biographies/autobiographies of Kevin Sheedy, Matthew Scarlett, Rodney Eade, Jason Akermanis, Jim Stynes, The Krakouer brothers, Lou Richards and Shane Crawford. There are two collector's items: Icons of sport Gary Ablett ($50) and Unleashed: A history of the Footscray football club ($65).
