20.01.2022 **Important news for the next couple of weeks** Hi Woodend Drums Students, hope you’re all keeping well. Due to the current health concerns, I’ve decided to postpone in person drum lessons. It’s not all bad news though, I’d like to take this opportunity to offer Skype lessons.... It’s hard to know what the right thing to do is as there are so many unknown factors. I base this decision on having close family who are vulnerable/immunocompromised and knowing we are a diverse community with unknown exposure. Having been touring in the last few weeks, I also feel its my duty of care to protect my students from anything I’ve potentially been exposed to. I feel completely fine, but I am following the advice of many experts who suggest social distancing starting now is our best defense not just for ourselves but for the wider community, particularly those more vulnerable. This is not something that students who have attended lessons in the last couple of weeks will need to be concerned about, it is more a precautionary measure with others' health in mind. As many of you know, I’ve got 'a bit' of gear lying around the studio. So, I’ve set up a couple of mics and connected them to Skype through my audio interface, so it should work smoothly and sound decent on your end. Check out this video for a demo of what the Skype videos will look like. For those interested in giving Skype lessons a go, please get in contact and we can get it all set up. It’ll be as easy as downloading Skype and getting in touch at the same time as your usual face to face lessons. I will be also available at other times during the day as well, if a better time suits. For those not interested in trying out Skype lessons, I 100% understand. You will of course be credited for any lessons you have already paid for. And lessons will resume as normal hopefully the start of Term 2.

12.01.2022 If you’ve ever had lessons here, you would have played my beautiful Evetts kit, or probably heard me talk about the drums, a lot. Well, Steve from Evetts Drums is teaming up with Steele from Kentville Drums to help raise money for Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. They have organised 3 different gifts to randomly selected donors, with the main one being a custom-made snare drum. Please consider donating what you can to help these legends raise some money for an important cause!
