Ann Lloyd-Greene 2h 23 Gordon Grivas 2 h 25 Total times 104km Elliott 27 min improvement over 3 days Brodie 33 min improvement over 3 days Wooden Eye Paddler of the week Drew Stewart over 30 minute improvement on day 3 ...his best paddle ever Best weather conditions on day 3 contributing to a big improvement and also some great training programs thanks to our coaches . We have all trained alot harder this year All of us started at different times so a lonely paddle for all of us and we all still improved on our personal bests which we were all proud of as last year we had some company occasionally Some fantastic great fast top class paddlers to learn from this year again and 2021 is going to be a fast race. We may need to get some motors attached for next year
02.01.2022 Elliot our Wooden Eye Paddler training for the Clarence 100. Not alot of water to train in but a whole lot of heart and dedication. Watch out for Elliot on day 3 on the Clarence
02.01.2022 Day 2 Clarence 100 44km Only 2 Woodys paddling today Team Wooden Eye Results ... Elliot Hunter 3 hours 49 PB again of 10 minutes to rowing club Brodie 4 hours 9 PB of 7 minutes to the rowing club ( original finish) 20km of thick fog so couldn't see a 1 m in front and it was like paddling in an episode of Pirates of the Caribbean. It was a great experience not having any idea where the river was heading and just hearing the birds. I heard Elliot cooeeing me somewhere in the fog. Thanks to our Woody support crew Jenny , Drew and Bernie who made the day so much more fun cheering us from random rock faces Thanks to the very lovely Brendan Crowe who was the 2019 Clarence winner who paddles at a world class speed but always slows down to help motivate and support other paddlers as he whips on past. True gentleman of the water. Off to the pub now...back on water tomorrow for last day.
