20.01.2022 Many of the photos of Woodford that the Queensland State Library, Trove NLA and others use are Fred Petersons photos. Fred was born in 1893 and died in 1971. Peterson Road is named after the family. Woodford Historical Society are proud and honoured to hold many of the originals of these photos that were generously donated to the museum by Freds Granddaughter Kathy Knight nee Britten. #woodfordmuseum

20.01.2022 "I got nine toes and I got 10 fingers!" We couldnt resist bringing back this story of legendary sawmiller Ralph Affleck from 2014. Youll be pleased to hear Ralph is still going strong at 90 and lives with his wife in Warwick.

17.01.2022 Had the best reopening day when these two showed up to check up on what the Curators had been up to over the last 5 months. Shirl and Jean are very happy with the Curators work . Sigh of relief from the Curators Thanks Moreton Bay Regional Council for the grant that allowed us to do this.

16.01.2022 From 10.20am on 11 November, the 2020 Remembrance Day Ceremony from the Shrine of Remembrance in ANZAC Square, Brisbane will be streamed live right here on our ...Facebook page. Although this year's ceremony will be invitation-only, the live stream means you will be able to watch the entire ceremony in real time, from wherever you are in Queensland.

With some of these items we would like to get them back to their owner or owners family. We have tried Google and Facebook with no luck. Two items we have at the moment belonged to RA Fairbrother. 12.01.2022 This dolls house was donated to the museum recently. The previous owner had no one to pass it on to and didnt want to dump it, lucky us! My number 1 curator is having a bit too much fun setting it up today. Count down to reopening!
