16.01.2022 I recently visited the Woodford Show Society to chat with president Val Reichle and vice president Peter Ostman about their new chairlift and air-conditioning f...or the office. The group received $4000 from the Federal Government's Stronger Communities Grant to help pay for the two items. Val and Peter showed me around their facilities and told me how much of a difference this chairlift in particular would make in their daily operations. Sadly COVID-19 put an end to this years show, but the society is determined to put on an event next year the whole community can enjoy.

14.01.2022 Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas

10.01.2022 ANOTHER FAKE EVENT Please note - Kilcoy Rodeo have NOT locked in a new date for our rodeo. This event page is FAKE and NOT RUN by the legitimate Kilcoy Rode...o Committee. Were unsure why Australian Rodeo 2020 is intent on spreading false information and confusing our patrons but would really appreciate if they stop. Please, as always, make sure you are following our page (the REAL page) for all up to date and CORRECT information. See more

10.01.2022 Unfortunately the endurance ride has been canceled

09.01.2022 Borrowed this one from another site it made me giggle Lets start the day with a giggle Did you know that Eagles mate for life? Well one day Harry the Eagle waited at the nest for Mary, his darling of 10 glorious years.... After a while when she didn't return he went looking and found her. She had been shot dead! Harry was devastated, but after about six minutes of mourning he decided that he must get himself another mate, but since there weren't any lady eagles available he'd have to cross the feather barrier. So he flew off to find a new mate. He found a lovely dove and brought her back to the nest. The sex was good but all the dove would say is ...... 'I am a DOVE, I want to love! I am a DOVE, I want to love!' Well this so got on Harry's nerves so he kicked the dove out of the nest and flew off once more to find a mate.. He soon found a very sexy loon and brought her back to the nest. Again the sex was good but all the loon would say is........ 'I am a LOON, I want to spoon! I am a LOON, I want to spoon!' So out with the loon. Once more he flew off to find a mate. This time he found a gorgeous duck and he brought the duck back to the nest. This time the sex was great, but all the duck would say was..... NO, The duck didn't say THAT ... ~ Don't be SO disgusting! The duck said.... 'I am a DRAKE, you made a MISTAKE! See more

07.01.2022 Sadly, one of our Life Time Members Hazel Nichols, passed away suddenly on Sunday 26 July. Hazels support, her years of knowledge, and volunteering were greatly appreciated and she will be dearly missed Her funeral will be held on Tuesday. Due to Covid restrictions on funeral numbers, unfortunately only close family and friends will be able to attend. We'd like to send our condolences and love to Hazels family and friends.

06.01.2022 Unfortunately the possible chance of a Dog Show after restrictions eased will not be possible.

06.01.2022 Shout out to all the amazing volunteers. This week is National Volunteers Week... and there's no sector in Australia with more volunteer hours than the agricultural show movement. 1.56 million hours are volunteered to make 580 shows across the nation tick. ... The average volunteer donates 121 hours annually. There are more than 12,000 country show volunteers in Australia, with shows requiring an average of 2694 volunteer hours in preparation for their annual show.

06.01.2022 Arena is looking good, best of luck to everyone this weekend.

04.01.2022 Bit of a laugh to start the week off A little boy blows up a balloon and starts flicking it all around the house with his finger. His mother tells him to stop it as he's liable to break something, but the boy continues. 'Johnny!' Mom screams. 'Knock it off.' You're going to break something. He stops and eventually Mom leaves for a short trip to the shopping center.... Johnny starts up with the balloon again after his mom has left for the store. He gives it one last flick and it lands in the toilet where he leaves it. Mom comes in and while putting away the grocer,y gets the urge. It's a diarrhea run!!! She can hardly make it to the toilet in time and SPLASH, out it comes. When she's finished, she looks down and can't believe what she's seeing. She's not sure what this big brown thing is in the toilet! She calls her doctor. The doctor is baffled as she describes the situation, but he assures her he'll be over shortly to examine everything. When he arrives she leads him to the bath room and he gets down on his knees and takes a long, hard look at the thing. Finally, he takes out his pen and sort of touches it to see what it might be and POP! The balloon explodes and poop is everywhere. It's on him, the walls, etc. 'Doctor! Doctor! Are you all right?' she asks. He says, 'I've been in this business for over 30 years, and this is the first time I've ever actually seen a fart!'" See more

01.01.2022 They ran to the groceries, they filled up their carts, They emptied the Tops and Price Chopper and Walmart, They panicked and fought and then panicked some more..., Then they rushed to their homes and they locked all the doors. The food will be gone! The milk eggs and cheese! The yogurt! The apples! The green beans and peas! The stores have run out, now what will we do? Theyll be starving and looting and nothing to do! Then they paused, and they listened a moment or two. And they did hear a sound, rising over the fear, It started out far, then began to grow near. But this sound wasnt sad, nor was it new, The farms were still doing what farms always do. The food was still coming, though theyd emptied the shelves, The farms kept it coming, though they struggled themselves, Though the cities had forgotten from where their food came, The farms made them food every day, just the same. Through weather and critics and markets that fall, The farms kept on farming in spite of it all. They farmed without thank yous. They farmed without praise. They farmed on the hottest and coldest of days. Theyd bought all the food, yet the next day came more, And the people thought of something they hadnt before. Maybe food, they thought, doesnt come from a store. Maybe farmers, perhaps, mean a little bit more. *Borrowed from a fellow farmer *
