23.01.2022 Ever get the feeling you're being watched? These three wise owls kept a close eye on me during a recent termite inspection.

23.01.2022 On a recent timber pest inspection this termite mud lead was found going up the timber house stump, traveling around and over the stump cap allowing termites to gain access to the house. Just goes to show that stump caps may be a deterrent but don't truly offer protection from a termite infestation.

22.01.2022 Wayne will be at the Sunshine Coast from Wednesday afternoon 8th June to Sunday 12th June doing pest control if anyone requires any work done.

22.01.2022 After active termites were found and treated a follow up inspection of the area revealed mud tubes full of dead termites. Before dying these termites would have transferred the chemical to the nest outside the home and eliminated the Colony.

21.01.2022 Lest we forget. A beautiful dawn service this morning remembering those lost.

20.01.2022 After finding termite damage in the house, the termite activity was traced back to the laundry and when the floor of the laundry tub was removed it showed the extent of the infestation. It shows the importance of having annual termite inspections on your property.

03.01.2022 During a recent timber pest inspection I discovered that the reason for spongy floorboards wasn’t termites as first suspected but in fact a much less common timber pest known as the Qld Pine Beetle. This is a small native beetle with an appetite for hoop pine. In this case in hoop pine flooring. The small bore holes and the honeycomb effect caused by the larvae can easily cause the flooring to collapse under a persons weight.

01.01.2022 Just a little surprise that I found while spraying a shed recently. A couple of snakes caught in a cast net.
