24.01.2022 With all the doom and gloom around atm thought this may lift some spirits. A whopping $3680 was donated to WSWRinc during the NewsMail Fundraiser. A big thanks to Vicky & Ingrid and NewsMail Club. To Maree, Graham & Jana who helped sell tickets, we couldn’t have done it without you. It was a very enjoyable night! To the businesses: NRMA Woodgate Holiday Park, Bootylicious, Siam Spa, Woodgate Beach Toys & Woodgate Beach Hotel, we sincerely thankyou for your support.

22.01.2022 NewsMail club has invited us to be the recipient of this years fundraiser held in Bundaberg, Friday 13th March. A big THANKYOU again for considering our little charity & local businesses for your support. Funds will go to much needed promo, signage and pamphlets to help educate the community. The more people stopping to check and call, means more wildlife we can save.

22.01.2022 hi everyone we would like to know if anyone would be interested in adopting an animal for $10.00 per week, this fee will go towards the care and feed and medical needs of the animal you will receive a photo of the animal you are adopting and monthly updates of your animals progress if interested please contact us photos of animals in care needing adoption will be uploaded shortly

18.01.2022 We are still looking for new members and volunteers. If you would like to know about becoming a volunteer please contact us. We need people to help with transport of wildlife to vets, emergency pick up or assessment, and people to provide care until we can arrange to have collection by a licensed carer. Even if anyone wants to help with fund raising or making pouches or possum boxes etc. Our membership is $10. We provide training and insurance.

17.01.2022 We are pleased to annouce that we have 2 Easter Raffles. 1 for the ladies & 1 for the men. Tickets available now - $2 each. Great prizes. Winners drawn this Saturday 3rd April at 3pm. Tickets are available through Bootilicious at Woodgate from Tuesday to Saturday. Please make sure you have change on hand as the tickets will be sold on behalf of Woodgate and Surrounds Wildlife Rescue Inc.

17.01.2022 Graphic photograph What has the world come to? Posted on Woodgate buy sell swap last night. Another dog attack last night, 2 rooming dogs attacked this beautiful boy. That’s now 2 dog attacks on wildlife in 4 days in Woodgate! Appalling.... Police and council were contacted last night. To all the residents involved with trying to stop this attack and then following through with action & reporting and then trying to locate roo, you are honestly amazing people. Let’s hope this guy can be assessed soon once found. See more

08.01.2022 This little fellow is Nelson he's a brush tail possum he came into care after falling from mums back into a garden surrounded by cats he's very lucky to have been found and is doing well adjusting to his new temporary home

06.01.2022 A huge thank you to Clint & Nikki who saved the life of this EG Joey from a dog attack and near drowning in the ocean at Woodgate. After rescuing him from the water and keeping him warm until we got there, this little guy was amazingly successfully reunited with mum after some close observations and caring people like Carol and Clint who were able to keep us informed. After he rested close to mum for quite a few hours he regained his strength & calmed down with mum there for support. Please please spread the word when you see people with dogs off the leash remind them about being responsible pet owners and the on the spot fines if your caught!!!!!!!!

05.01.2022 A warm welcome Asha female swampy in the doting care of Tracey. A big shout out to Kerrie who stopped to check dead mummy Roos pouch and saw two tiny feet poking out. Cold and alone, Kerrie rang the Rescue line. Already off the teat, Kerrie was asked to wrap her up and placed her down front of her top for warmth until she was in our care. Well done!

05.01.2022 This is daisy, she came into care after being found with deceased mum. These were the photos when she came into care on 9th of March. Look at her last photos 2 weeks ago. She is still growing strong. This girl is going strong thanks to someone's phone call to get help.

04.01.2022 Well Christmas and New year is over and it's 2021 we hope you all survived 2020 it definitely was a year of heartaches and headaches, we are sorry we have not posted for a while but like everyone else caught in fires,drought, covid our carers were impacted in many ways as well. We hope this year brings new hope and good fortune to all of our supporters and that from the goodness of your hearts you continue to support our efforts to care and support our local wildlife.
