22.01.2022 We have been to many fires over the years from grinders, slashers and mowers. Great advise re bucket of water or a fire extinguisher. Also ensure you clear debris from mowing and slashing decks to prevent grass fires starting. We have very high fire dangers in our region on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday wind speeds will be gusting up to 60klms per hour. Please call 000 to report any fire activity over the next couple of days.

13.01.2022 This Christmas Eve from 3pm we will be doing our annual Santa Run through Cedarvale, Cedar Grove and Woodhill. This year we have had to do things differently due to Covid. For the safety of our Fire Fighters, and their families, as well as you and yours we ask that everyone keep 1.5m apart while engaging with our Fire Fighters and your fellow neighbours. One major change we have had to make is that we will not be going up Dennis Road and the off roads of it. However instead f...or those residences and anyone else that may have missed us or wants to come from other areas we will have Santa at the corner of Mt Lindsay Highway and Cedarvale Road from 6.30pm till 7pm. Weather permitting. Heres a few things you can do to ensure you get to see santa: - If you live on a short street or there are only a small amout of you waiting, try to head closer to the nearest main road so we can see you. - When you see the Fire truck coming down the road, move to the same side of the road that the truck is driving on. - Keep clear of the side of the road until the Fire Truck stops. - Listen out for the Fire Truck sirens to know how far away we are. And most of all please be patient. Our area has grown so much that it is taking longer to get around to see everyone and we do our best to ensure we do see as many people as possible. Santa Claus is coming to town.

05.01.2022 Currently and over the next few days residents in and around Kooralbyn may be affected by smoke due to there being a bushfire in the vicinity of Green Hills Road (Between Kooralbyn and Allandale). This is a timely reminder to all residents living in rural areas that fire season is upon us. Be sure to like the Queensland Fire and Emergency services facebook page for current updates and information and prepare a bushfire survival plan for you and your family. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe your property is under threat.
