24.01.2022 This quokka is enjoying the miniature version of Woodism's cross-legged table...a LOT!

22.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago you saw the beginnings of a personal project, which began with some twisty silky oak Marco has had in his collection for a long time. It’s coming along! The wood has been dressed, and the joinery finished now. The first filling got underway today. The last two images are the inspiration for the 10 seater table. Can you see the finished piece in the silky oak yet?

21.01.2022 Look at this stunning reclaimed Douglas Fir. Marco is making some traditional fly screen doors for two homes in WA. One will be heading to Denmark next week. Will the new owners like them? Update next week.

19.01.2022 The midnight silky oak table is progressing well. It has moved temporarily into its new home, while currently waiting for legs. This is a 10 seater with an interstitial space between the two raw edged pieces, which will be sitting atop trapezoid legs. Marco Pansini Geire Kami

14.01.2022 Marco installed one of the reclaimed Douglas Fir fly screen doors yesterday, and the new owners love it. The fly screen is constructed with proper complex joinery, so it is very strong, despite its fine appearance. It has traditional brass fixtures, and closes with a spring. The entrance door of this war-time mudbrick cottage has never looked so fabulous (and there are no flies inside)!

12.01.2022 Marco is hard at work, filling a bespoke order for a hallway table with chamfered legs out of heirloom jarrah. What do you think? Will the client love it?

12.01.2022 Happy new year to all the Woodists in the world! Here is one of my latest projects for a university assignment. BA Architecture: model of Tadao Ando's Church of the Light. 1:60 scale in MDF. It is only 30cm long....and now I need an eye transplant!

08.01.2022 What is Marco up to? No rest here! Uni and creating something amazing, but there is always time to give a carrot to his pony, Manna Mia. Update soon!

06.01.2022 The online shop launched today, with nine OOAK pieces and an Instagram account. Woodism.com.au

05.01.2022 Here is the finished product! A cross legged design, requested by the client. I wanted to eliminate the bracing between the crossed legs (which is quite normal in this style) but painful on the shins! The structure is very simple, strong, and stable, and does not require any bracing. This piece was constructed from jarrah the family had had in their collection for decades.

05.01.2022 What has been happening in the Woodism workshop? An incredible bespoke 12 seater dining table has emerged out of 100 year old Mount Barker heirloom Douglas fir from the family farm of a client. It's looking amazing! They are going to love it. What do you think?
