25.01.2022 Wow, 7 months since my last post where has that time gone! In that time I had my son and then had my first ambulance ride, followed by my second, third, fourth and fifth time. After being sick for over 2 months, losing almost 1kg, his 4th time being admitted to Gold Coast Hospital and not knowing why he was still so sick they ended up transporting him up to Queenslands Children's Hospital for further investigation. He then went under general anaesthetic, had a CT scan, bronco...scopy and more blood tests which came back as him having quite a few bacterial infections in his lungs characterised normally by someone who has an immune disorder. He started a course of IV antibiotics for which he needed a PICC line put in to kill the -Lactamase positive H. influenzae, Pneumocystis Pneumonia. A few days later it was discovered he also had Cytomeglavirus and had to start a anti viral drug which makes your bodily fluids cytotoxic. Because of all these infections they started testing for immune disorders such as SCID's, luckily all those tests came back as normal though. They then sent blood to America for genetic testing and they also came back normal. For now he is on preventative antibiotics for the foreseeable future, regular check ups at the hospital and Brisbane immunology. They are still unsure why he got so sick, they believe he has an immune problem but they haven't figured out what it is yet. I was planning on reopening earlier but with everything that's happened I decided to wait but you don't have to wait much longer. I've decided to reopen limited spots from this Thursday night. Once order spots have filled I will close again until I have completed those and then will reopen again for limited spots. Please note that with everything going on my turn around time will still be up to 4 weeks, although I will try my hardest to get the orders out sooner. 23.01.2022 Really bad leg cramps during pregnancy, does anyone else get them? I had them so bad with my daughter I would be crying in pain and my partner would try to massage it out each time. I was hoping to skip that again this pregnancy but after having one three days ago which still hurts so bad that I'm hobbling around like an old women I'm guessing I won't be that lucky . 22.01.2022 If you caught my Instagram story yesterday you would have seen we finally cleared out the spare room and started to move my office over so my old office can be turned into the nursery!! Safe to say our house currently looks like a bomb has hit and the hallways and other rooms look look like an obstacle course with all the stuff taking over them. I'm in full destash mode and refusing to put anything away until everything is inspected to see if we still need it or we can sell or donate it. I seriously don't know how we accumulate so much stuff but it's such a good feeling finally going through it all! Do you love decluttering as well? . . 19.01.2022 I just wanted to say a big thank you for everyone's patience while I work on all your orders. This pregnancy has been a lot harder then I had thought and I'm finding it difficult to push myself as much as I used to when I wasnt pregnant, especially as I've still been getting morning sickness and low iron isn't helping with all the tiredness. Happy to say though I'll be finishing off the next lot of orders today and starting on the next lot. I'll pop some peaks in my Instagram stories either today or tomorrow so keep an eye out for those. 17.01.2022 NEW CLOSING DATE || Just wanted to let you all know due to a number of reasons, the top one being that my 6 month pregnant body is struggling to keep up, that I've brought my closing date forward one week. 10.01.2022 Only one week to go until I close orders for maternity leave!! I have been getting a lot of emails lately enquiring about order waiting time. Due to the number of orders I have plus being 28 weeks pregnant my current turn around time is around 4 weeks plus postage. 10.01.2022 And it starts...Mr. 7 month old is crawling and pulling himself up on everything . Now my day consists of my daughter saying over and over "no baby stop touching that, I SAID DONT TOUCH THAT" . My daughter didn't start walking til she was 13 months but I have a bad feeling he is going to be an early walker. What age did your child start walking? 08.01.2022 Good news, it's almost time to start stalking those posties! I'll be spending today and by that I mean the spending the precious nap time #BecauseMumLife finishing all orders. I will then be packing and posting them Thursday/Friday . It has been a bit harder then I thought juggling everything the last few weeks and a bit of a learning curve getting into a new routine. 06.01.2022 NEW// Orders have now all been posted and if this isn't the first time you have received an order from me you may notice something different this time. One of my goals this year personally and in the business was to be more environmentally friendly. So the first buisness change I made was to move over to compostable mailing bags(I still have some plastic mailing bags left so will be a transition moving over) and the second was to get rid of bubblewrap. So I am currently trying a new FSC paper based wrap which means it is compostable or recyclable. 06.01.2022 || CLOSING INFORMATION || Just under a month to go until orders close on Dec 24th!! This is to ensure I have enough time to complete them before I go on maternity leave. I had originally planned to keep ready to ship open until mid February but you guys have been keeping me so busy I won't have time to make any more ready to ship stock up. So I've decided the entire website will now be closing on the 24th of December. At this stage I'll be closed from 6 months to a year or more depending on how everything goes, so if you have been waiting to place an order make sure you place it before December 24th so you don't miss out!! 05.01.2022 Did you catch our post yesterday? After 7 months on maternity leave I will be reopening for limited orders tomorrow night. Once orders are full the website will then close. After I complete those orders I will then reopen the website for another limited amount of orders. So make sure you set your alarms for 8pm October 1st! 04.01.2022 Hello December!! Anyone else in shock there is only a few more weeks until Christmas and only around 13 weeks left til our family of 3 becomes a family of 4 . Only 3 more weeks left to get your orders in before I close up on December 24th to get ready to go on maternity leave Please note that Christmas orders have closed, unfortunately I just don't have enough time left with the amount of orders I still have to finish to take on anymore before Christmas postage cut off dates.
