25.01.2022 Thank you everyone for a wonderful year, and wishing you every blessing for 2020!

24.01.2022 Don't envy the chook that laid this egg!

24.01.2022 We're finally open for camping from this Friday, 12th of June - yay! :D We've had to make some changes to keep everyone safe, so when you arrive please: - only send ONE person per vehicle to the homestead to sign the visitor declaration - make sure everyone in your group continues to follow social distancing guidelines while at Woodleigh.... If you haven't booked your trip yet, please note we are BOOKED OUT over these school holidays and EVERY WEEKEND until August. We do still have some availability during the week after these school holidays, and also during the September school holidays - but get in quick as sites are going fast! Just fill out the form at https://www.woodleighstation.com.au/camping.html to book a campsite. Thanks everyone for your support during this time, and we look forward to catching up with you all!

23.01.2022 EDIT: We sadly don't have a choice in this as the government has stated that all non-essential bussinesses must close. If it was up to us we would still be open! Hi everyone, we have spoken to the TRC Health Inspector and have been advised as of today we will be closed for camping as this encourages non-essential travelling and increased exposure to possible Coronavirus carriers. We thank you all for your understanding and your support through this time. We hope to have you all back in the near future!

22.01.2022 It's wonderful seeing so many drought stricken stations getting some good rain! We've been lucky too and got just over 9inches in the last few weeks!

21.01.2022 Good morning Campers! We are aware that as of today midday camping will be opening. Unfortunately we have decided to stay CLOSED until 12th of June due to station work commitments. We appologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you all on the 12th!

21.01.2022 Good evening everyone, we know you're all keen to come camping with us again (and so are we). We have made enquiries to the state government as to if we are able open for camping this weekend but as yet we have not received a response. We will let you know as soon as we are advised. Thank you all for your patience.

11.01.2022 That V.C. 'Twas in the days of front attack, This glorious truth we'd yet to learn it -- That every "front" has got a back,... And French was just the man to turn it. A wounded soldier on the ground Was lying hid behind a hummock; He proved the good old proverb sound -- An army travels on its stomach. He lay as flat as any fish, His nose had worn a little furrow; He only had one frantic wish, That like an ant bear he could burrow. The bullets whistled into space, The pom-pom gun kept up its braying, The fout-point-seven supplied the bass -- You'd think the devil's band was playing. A valiant comrade crawling near Observed his most supine behaviour, And crept towards him, "Hey! what cheer? Buck up," said he, "I've come to save yer. "You get up on my shoulders, mate, And, if we live beyond the firing, I'll get the V.C. sure as fate, Because our blokes is all retiring. "It's fifty pound a year," says he, "I'll stand you lots of beer and whisky." "No," says the wounded man, "not me, I'll not be saved, it's far too risky. "I'm fairly safe behind this mound, I've worn a hole that seems to fit me; But if you lift me off the ground, It's fifty pounds to one they'll hit me." So back towards the firing-line Our friend crept slowly to the rear oh! Remarking, "What a selfish swine! He might have let me be a hero." By A.B. "Banjo" Paterson. Printed in the Bulletin, 19 May 1900 Lest we forget. Photos are Pat Williams and Jean McMeekin who both served in WWII

10.01.2022 Hi everyone, sadly we have been notified that we cannot open for camping yet. Again, we will let you all know when we are able to open. We are still taking bookings for later in the year in hopes that restrictions will be lifted. Cheers and hope you all stay safe.

07.01.2022 These two cheeky buggers have learnt to open the back gate on their own to sneak in and chomp on the sweet green grass in Kate’s garden! Monica and Shocking are ex-racehorses who are now retired and loving life on the station!
