Having been the highest combined fleece & carcass value in the Peter Westblade wether trial of $205, $10 higher than the next best in the first shearing this autumn. Having the highest value carcass and 2nd highest fleece value, a well balanced animal. 18.01.2022 A big thank you to all who attended our annual ram auction in Jerilderie. We hope you enjoyed the day overall despite the crazy weather conditions. Out of 140 penned rams, 137 were sold at the auction. We saw a $500 increase on last year's prices, making this year our best average of $3455. Tupra’s owner Fergus McLachlan and manager Mick Flattery paid the top price for the sale, securing one of our top rams for $13,000. We'd like to thank all of our buyers and look forward to catching up again next year. We are classing and allocating ewes into performance groups in two weeks so the micron test can be added to the fleece weight data, body weight and pedigree info to make good informed decisions. 05.01.2022 Just sitting down to watch the Auctions Plus site, with two lots of Woodpark Poll blood ewes up for auction on the National Sheep Auction today at 2.00pm. One pen is bred and offered by us, our annual young ewe offering, of 425 "Eurolie" bred, Woodpark Poll blood ewes, June and August 2019 drop, August shorn and looking tremendous with the wonderful season! The Houston family of "Budgewah" Hay also have a run of 64 3.5-6.5yo Woodpark Poll blood, July shorn ewes, available on the same Auctions Plus auction today. The Houstons are selective and specific when buying top end rams at the ram auction and their sheep reflect their great approach to breeding.
