21.01.2022 Dear Families This morning, the Northern Territory Chief Health Officer declared South Australia a hotspot, effective immediately. Refer to Northern Territory Government Coronavirus website for the latest updates - https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au//quarantine/hotspots-covid-19 The advice issued by NT Health following the announcement is below, and affects students and staff currently in South Australia, those planning to travel there, as well as those who have returned from th...ere in the last 14 days. Please note that anyone who is returning from South Australia will be required to undertake mandatory quarantine. Individuals who arrive from South Australia on Monday 16 or Tuesday 17 November will not be required to pay the $2500 mandatory quarantine cost. The advice from the NT Department of Health is below: If you have or your child has travelled to South Australia in the last 14 days, the above advice needs to be followed.

11.01.2022 Some fantastic costumes for our Student Voice Positive Choice Leadership organised Superhero Dress Up day today. Over $290 raised for The Starlight Children's Foundation. Thank you to everyone.

10.01.2022 Yesterdays Kids in the Kitchen were students from M1 and they did a fantastic job. Lunch was delicious. Kids in the Kitchen will be back again in Term 4, look out for the menu coming out soon.

10.01.2022 Our Year 6 students are visiting Palmerston College today for a Taster Day. This is an important orientation into middle school.

08.01.2022 Today girls from Years 4/5/6 participated in Pink Power Girls AFL. They had a great day and finished with some much needed water play.

06.01.2022 A small group of students were invited to attend the opening of the Children's Megafauna Nature Playground at the Territory Wildlife Park. This was a collaborative project with a number of other schools, local artists and local businesses. Today students were able to see the final result of their contribution to this project.

06.01.2022 Year 6 Families As part of our Year 6 Graduation celebrations on Monday 14 December, we will be playing a Power Point presentation which will have of photographs of the year 6 students now and from when they were in Preschool. To assist us with the presentation, it is requested that parents or carers provide us with a photograph of their year 6 child from when they were in Preschool or Transition (approximately 5 years of age). Please email this to [email protected], bring it into the front office to be scanned or message to the school Facebook page.

05.01.2022 On Thursday 10 September Eia, Rochan, Rohan and Toby from Woodroffe Primary School joined over 70 students from schools across Darwin and Palmerston to participate in a Student Mathematics Enrichment Day. Students participated in problem solving, working through pattern challenges, using Microbits, designing and measuring the friction of various surfaces, building and measuring the distance achieved using a catapult and programming a Sphero to complete various tasks. The students work in pairs to complete the various challenges. To conclude the day all students built a giant pyramid demonstrating teamwork and resilience. Our students represented our school with distinction.
