24.01.2022 ... words to live by Biggest thanks to every single one of you who have placed an order with us over the past few weeks, and whove been keeping us so busy we keep forgetting to post here : @theresawilliamsartandstuff

24.01.2022 Over the weekend we quietly uploaded a new product on our website. It definitely feels strange to be launching new products during this very weird time... but this is something that we've had in the works for almost 12 months, and we're finally ready. So, we're forging ahead. Introducing.... pre-inked stamps! [these will in no way replace our much-loved traditional stamps - they're here to stay]. Pre-inked stamps have your ink included in one handy unit, making them su...per quick to use, and they're awesome for: stamping high volumes a more precise print with text-heavy designs, and larger prints [like this here big guy] They also use a soy-based ink for print quality that is . Our pre-inked stamps come in a range of sizes, including teeny ones for loyalty cards, and for a limited time you can get 20% off with the code PREINK20 : Sister Scout Studio, styling by @meandmygirl See more

24.01.2022 Me, errrrrry day for the past few weeks Were still here! Just heads down, making all o your orders (gosh theres a LOT of you working on your businesses rn) for which we are so very, very grateful #bestcustomers #ever : @sisterhoodcoffee_

24.01.2022 We're juuuuust about ready to sign off for the year [save for a few sneaky last orders heading out early next week]. We're taking a much-needed [MUCH-needed] break until mid-January. New orders will be produced in the new year when we're back up and running. Big, massive thank you's for all your support this year, we're so very grateful to have made it to the end of 2020 in one piece [just]. For now, it's family time, non-stop xmas movies, snuggles with our littles, g...ood food and maybe a G&T or two. Happy Holidays! Bec + Simon : @aletterintime See more

24.01.2022 EOY ORDER DEADLINES! We’re nearing the end of 2020, which feels strange given the tumultuous year we’ve all had, particularly for Victorians enduring months of lockdown. Given that a] our postal service has experienced significant challenges and subsequent delays recently, and b] we’re managing much higher volumes than we ever have - which has meant increased production times - it’s time to share our EOY deadlines as they're quickly approaching.... To receive your order before Christmas, here are some dates for your calendar: Custom products [stamps, embossers and tape]: Order by: Sunday 15 Nov Approve artwork by: Friday 20 Nov Non-custom products: Order by: Wednesday 9 Dec The above dates will give you the best possible chance of receiving your order pre-Christmas, based on Australia Post’s current advice. However, given the postal delays we’ve seen this year [particularly in Victoria] it’s yet to be seen how the postal service will hold up. We’ve been super conservative with these deadlines [they’re based on regular post timeframes] so that our incredibly hard-working posties have plenty of time. We’ll be producing and shipping orders right up until Christmas, so if you miss these dates, we’ll do our best to help. but our advice? Get your order in as early as possible to avoid being disappointed. Some other important notes: For our return customers of packing tape: If you can, consider stocking up a little more than you usually would, to last you through the busy Christmas period and avoid running out. A reminder that we’re at capacity at the moment. Our custom products are all handmade by a small team here in Melbourne. We understand our timeframes may seem long, but they’re in place to ensure we can effectively manage the volume, and ensure our little team can give your order the care and attention it deserves. We’re not able to facilitate rush orders. Summer break: we’ll be taking a much-needed break after a rough year, more details on that soon. As always, if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to get in touch : Sister Scout Studio See more

We're open to all ideas, hit us below with your packaging hearts desires? : @sisterscout_

23.01.2022 Some super helpful tips on DIY'ing your own logo in this article from Tess McCabe Graphic Designer for Frankie Magazine

22.01.2022 Still here! Weve been on a [kinda accidental] hiatus from socials recently because weve been doing our best to keep up with unprecedented demand [as in, pretty crazy]. Our custom products are fulfilled with a *super* small team, and to make sure we can give your order the care and attention it deserves, weve had to extend our turnaround times... just a bit. You can see our production times here https://woodruffandco.com.au/policies/shipping-policy. In addition to ma...dly making, printing, picking and packing, answering emails [side note: we received over 1,500 emails in the month of May] we've made some pretty neat changes [hello new and snappy @shopify website, still tweaking that one], creating more content around helpful tips and guides for designing for, and using our products] plus some other secret squirrel projects in the works. phew Excuse us while we get back to it, here's a cute stamp we made this week for @gomiboysramen See more

22.01.2022 A little reminder that Stage 4 restrictions are impacting [understandably] on the postal service. We ship all your orders via @auspost, and theyre working incredibly hard rn, but do have delays of around 7 days. Please be patient! We're working super hard over here [while also home-schooling our Prep and Grade 1 boys while schools are closed in VIC: not an easy task!] to get your orders into the post as quickly as we can. They WILL reach you, but will take longer than normal [and #worthit] : @blessthemessy

21.01.2022 Cutest #logostamp this week goes to Kids Clay Club [not to mention their equally fun custom paper tape!]

20.01.2022 Did you know we can print and ship #custompapertape for you within 1-2 days? We print this in-house [literally - from the comfort of our home studio] which means once you approve your artwork proof we print it straight away, package it up and send it on its way, quick smart [while production is super quick, postage right now isnt, so please be patient as @auspost deal with COVID19 related delays].... : @mckenziemccaffreypoems See more

19.01.2022 From our family to yours, have a Happy Easter : @farwestcoffee

19.01.2022 Hope you're all hanging in there? Sending you all positive vibes [and much coffee] for the week ahead. Particularly for those of you whore juggling business with little ones learning at home, were right there with you : from an old fave @pearlakombi

19.01.2022 psst, we've just received a handful of our super-affordable and very handy water-activated paper tape dispensers [also known as a 'wetter' ], these guys are a great step up from a sponge, so will help make your packing process a little quicker, so you can get back to relaxing and wondering what day it is, like the rest of us. Find them on the website under Packing Tape.

18.01.2022 Heres some #packaginginspo to break up your home-schooling/working/everything day. @eticora__ take offcuts from their garments, and create these sweet, delicate hand-stamped swing tags. #zerowaste at it's most beautiful!... : @eticora__ See more

17.01.2022 Fairly accurate portrayal of me, on day 85,478 [or something like that] of #lockdown #just #so #tired : @riseandgrindespressobar

17.01.2022 So yesterday was International #GetToKnowYourCustomersDay, and we'd love to know a little more about YOU! Whats your favourite @woodruffandco product? What do you use it for? And what else would you like to see from us? Image credit: @_mamagoodness_

17.01.2022 #lockdowntake2 As a small family-run business, were fortunate enough to live and work in the same place. With most of Victoria back in lowdown, we want to let you know: were still here! Well be working throughout this difficult time, however: alongside running our business well also be managing remote learning for our two young sons [Prep and Grade 1]. As a result, processing times may be a little more than normal, and we may take longer to reply to emails. But we...ll be doing the best we possibly can, promise. All your orders will be safely and securely produced, and packed in our home studio and shipped off with Australia Post [@auspost are experiencing delays, so delivery may take longer in some cases, please be patient!] We very much hope youll continue to support the incredible Melbourne-based small businesses wholl likely be going through a tough time over the next weeks and months. And we encourage our fellow Melburnians to stay at home whenever possible, practice good hygiene, stay 1.5m away and wear a mask. Oh, and to our fellow small business owners with school-age kiddos: GOOD LUCK Stay safe Image credit: @theresawilliamsartandstuff See more

17.01.2022 Were listening, and were learning. #blackouttuesday

16.01.2022 Its all in the [oh-so-beautiful] subtle details. Just popping on in the midst of a crazy-busy week home-schooling [it's full ON, isn't it?] and fulfilling orders [for which we are so very grateful, you'll never know how much] to show you a stunning example of using a custom embosser. @rebel.reflect used a #customembosser as the finishing touch on these wedding programs [slash fan... what a fab idea!] : @rebel.reflect

15.01.2022 can’t talk, busy. #so #many #stamps

15.01.2022 After 10+ weeks at home, our boys are finally back at school. And I finally have a quiet, peaceful space [and a ton of work to get through]... but I kinda miss them! Anyone else the same? : @lepetitcaferose, featuring their new #customstamp

15.01.2022 Kind of loving the social media hiatus we've been on lately. We're still here, still [safely] making and shipping your orders for which we're, as a small business ourselves, oh-so-grateful for Image credit: @oliviaherrickdesign

15.01.2022 Much super cute #custompapertape heading out today.

15.01.2022 @thecolourjar_cos new #customstamp is just about the sweetest thing weve seen this week : @thecolourjar_co

14.01.2022 Supporting independent, local businesses has never felt quite as important as it does this year. We’re all about #supportingsmall, so we're sharing some of our favourite [mostly Melbourne-based] brands we’ll be looking to for Christmas gifts this year. https://woodruffandco.com.au//our-favorite-places-to-shop-

14.01.2022 All in the detail @holoceneleather #newstampfeeling : @holoceneleather

14.01.2022 After a *bluddy* long wait for stock to arrive [#thanksCOVID] we’re now stocked up and able make our custom embossers once again! Hooray. : courtesy of @hannahnowlan, using hers to make these stunning gift vouchers

14.01.2022 guys, thank you SO MUCH for all the love on our new pre-inked #customstamps! We've put our first orders into production, and can't wait to see them out in the world. A little reminder that pre-inked stamps are currently 20% off with the code PREINK20 at checkout. Happy Easter! # #stayhome : our fave @sisterscout_, styling [and hands!) by @meandmygirl

13.01.2022 Is this not the cutest thing ever? We can totally make a stamp from a hand drawn illustration, all you need to supply a good quality scan or photograph of your illustration (use black in on white paper), and #voilà

13.01.2022 The sweetest, teeniest stamp for @mrdarbycafe This little one is a pre-inked stamp in our smallest size (14mm). Perfect for stamping loyalty cards, but you could also use it anywhere you need a tiny, but precise print. The key with this one? Your design needs to be really, really simple. A monogram, simple shape or icon works really well. And the print you'll get from a pre-inked stamp? Picture perfect, every time

12.01.2022 Contrary to what you might think, paper tape is actually stronger than traditional plastic packing tape... this here pretty tape [for @lascari_design] can secure boxes that weigh up to 15kg! The magic is in the water-activated adhesive that bonds [forever] with your box. It also can handle extreme temperatures, so your boxes wont come unstuck in hot or humid conditions, and even in the freezer. #myth #busted

12.01.2022 Slow threads, designed and crafted locally deserve zero plastic packaging. @z.thelabel make their own cotton drawstring bags and [patiently] hand-stamp each one. Dreamt up as an alternative o plastic packaging, theyre designed to be reused or repurposed. Love them @z.thelabel, thanks for sharing how you use your #customstamp. : @z.thelabel

11.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums, Grandmothers, step-Mums, foster Mums, soon-to-be Mums, single Dads and mother figures. Youre amazing, and we hope youre putting your feet up today : @lisaatkinsonphotographer from my shoot for her All Dressed Up, Nowhere to Go series.

10.01.2022 Just a reminder [for myself as much as anyone else]. Juggling remote learning with a prep and Grade 1 and running a small business has been overwhelming to say the least! Lots o' late nights happening here to catch up - you guys are keeping us so busy, and we're so very grateful for that : @melanie.johnsson

06.01.2022 Kicking off the new year with a refresher on getting the best from your rubber stamp [save this post for future reference if you're a stamp user!] Using a stamp seems simple enough, right? But, it can take some practice to get really good, consistent results. Stamping is imperfect in nature [which is why we love them], but with our tips below, you can see really nice results. [disclaimer: of course, stamp design plays a big part too, more on this soon].... Make sure your ink pad has enough ink. Brand new ink pads can be a little bit ‘juicy’. In this case, use a paper towel to blot excess ink from the pad. Large stamps, or designs with lots of printable area need more ink, while smaller stamps or designs with fine lines require less. Don't use too much pressure when inking your stamp - you'll end up with ink in negative spaces and you'll get a blotchy ol' print as a result. Always use your stamp on a solid, flat surface, like your packing table, desk or kitchen bench. Some paper [large sheets of butchers paper are ideal] will give some additional support and keep your table top clean too. Technique is where it's at. Press the stamp onto your ink pad and check to be sure your entire design is covered. Then, press straight down onto your surface with firm, even pressure, and pull straight up. Large stamps and designs with lots of printable area will need a little more pressure - we find standing up can help. You can also gently [and carefully] rock the stamp slightly to make sure the entire design makes contact with your surface. For small or very detailed stamps, use less pressure. When you’re done, allow a few seconds for the ink to dry [most dye-based inks dry almost instantly, but some can take longer]. Keep your stamp clean - build up of ink over time can impact your print. Give it a gentle clean with a damp cloth [or alcohol-free baby wipes] and store it in a cool, dry spot, away from direct light or heat. If you've some tips of your own, share 'em in the comments? 06.01.2022 We're on a bit of a roll with new products recently, and we're not stopping! The latest is [and I *know* some of you will be super excited about this one]... water-activated tape dispensers! After a lengthy wait on stock, we're excited to finally have them! With a super simple set up, these guys are a definite step up from using a sponge with your #papertape ... Check them out via the link in our bio [fair warning, this is a heavy item, so shipping outside VIC may come at a price... but we think it's well worth the investment]. : Sister Scout Studio, styled by @meandmygirl See more

06.01.2022 Something we love about our products is that they're so *very* versatile. Almost all of our products have more than just one use. Our paper tape? Not just for sealing your boxes [although it does an impressive job of that too]. You could cut your custom tape into sticker size and use them decoratively. You could get really clever and design your tape as labels [did you know gummed tape adheres to glass as well as cardboard?] Or it can do multiple jobs, like this from @slow_journal: a beautiful, simple branding element, and a securely sealing up the very special contents of this mailer : @slow_journal

05.01.2022 The quiet achiever. A custom embosser is a subtle but luxe way to make your mark. @made_by_a._ use theirs for earring cards, stickers and love notes sent with every order [see our Stories tonight to check them all out] The best design for a custom embosser? Keep it super simple. A monogram or single element from your logo works best. If you need some design advice, get in touch! Were always available to help. : @made_by_a._

04.01.2022 A little update on what the Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne means for us. Were fortunate to be a sole operator and work out of our home studio with no direct contact with the public. Our small [but mighty] team of makers and suppliers are also able to continue to operate. @auspost will also continue pick up your parcels from our doorstep [contactless, of course] and our incredible posties and drivers will continue to deliver your orders safely and quickly as possible.... Which means, we can continue to run our business as usual. This said, its a really stressful and difficult time and [as are many others] were dealing with a lot, including home schooling our two boys [Prep and Grade 1, i.e. a LOT of guidance, hand-holding and patience required ]. We ask for your patience if your order ships a little later than expected or your email or DM isnt replied to straight away. Were doing the absolute best we can, I promise. Lastly, a very big thank you all of you who continue to place orders with us - were grateful as ever for your support. Our hearts go out to businesses that are forced to close or reduce operations - please continue to show love and kindness to every Melbourne-based business, they need us now now more than ever. Stay safe #supportsmallbusiness #melbournesmallbusiness Image credit: Sister Scout Studio, also an awesome #melbournesmallbusiness See more

04.01.2022 This just in! Our beautiful botanical design [created for us by @twinewoodstudio] is now available in paper tape. : @sisterscout_ taking beautiful images, even in #ISO!

04.01.2022 Illustrations work SO well in stamp form. #customstamp for @old_mates_burgers [Logo design: @hellococo.studio]

04.01.2022 @thecolourjar_co’s new #customstamp is just about the sweetest thing we’ve seen this week : @thecolourjar_co

03.01.2022 Let alone what day it is... Thankful for orders continuing to come in, and emails, DMs and messages to respond to to keep me occupied [and sane]. : @oh_sograceful

02.01.2022 Wondering why you'd choose a pre-inked stamp over a traditional stamp? Here's a few reasons why this recent addition to our range might be your best option: Pre-inked stamps last a SUPER long time. Depending on your design and the size, you'll get in the ten-thousands of prints before you need to re-ink [and yes, you can top up your stamp with a re-inker, you'll find these on the website under SUPPLIES]. If you've a design with intricate, fine detailing. A pre-in...ked stamp will give you an amazingly sharp print, every time. If you're planing to stamp some serious VOLUME. A pre-inked stamp will save you time because you have your ink and stamp in one handy lil' unit. : @sisterscout_, styling and hand-modelling @meandmygirl See more
