22.01.2022 At Woodsmith and Co. we love pushing the boundries of tiny home design and architecture to create one of a kind spaces. Below are a few photos of a custom sink we are carving out of a sugar gum burl. Burl is an abnormal growth on a tree that can take over 100 years to form. It yields a highly figured grain pattern which makes them very rare to find. In order to turn this burl into a sink we have had to complete many different stages and we still have many more to come.... 18.01.2022 Build update: Framing These are a few photos of our building process so far! This tiny home is not so tiny standing at 4.5 meters high, 3 meters wide and 8 meters long. Designed with a private bathroom that includes a washing machine, full sized shower and standard sized toilet.The bedroom has a mezzanine with stair access and walking space to the bed.... The kitchen has a standard sized oven, stove, fridge and sink. Not to mention plenty of bench space for cooking up a storm. Finally the living room is a cosy space with a dining table and comfy couch for relaxing. 04.01.2022 Build update: Windows Timber windows are a great option for when we design and build our tiny homes. They create a unique design that blends into their natural surroundings whilst creating a modern and slimline finish. We have opted for a natural exterior vanish to complement the charcoal weather boards that will be fitted within the next few days.... Windows can be completely customisable to fit any space with a variety of fixed, awning and sliding designs.
