19.01.2022 Brodie Jones was able to snag this nice sambar stag the other day. Here’s a quick recap of what his stalk entailed: Decided to go for quick arvo stalk with me tikka t3 light 30-06 running Remington hog hunter with 168grain bullets. I walked a few kms and as time was quickly passing, I started to head back to the car. I heard something scratching the ground nearby and looked up but couldn’t see anything, thought it was just a wombat and decided to take few more steps. Then... out came a spika, put the rifle up but decided not to take the shot thinking to myself that couldn’t be making that noise. I then put the rifle down looked to the right and here was this fella looking at me. I pushed the bolt down and let one rip straight into its chest dropping it 15m away. I couldn’t be happier. Went down took few pics and then it was a hike back to the car. Good work mate, cracking stag Don’t forget to tag us in your photos when wearing or using any of our gear. See more
