21.01.2022 TRAFFIC CONTROLLER - OCEAN REEF ROAD Parents and Caregivers are advised that as of 5 February and during the remainder of the earthworks for the Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Interchange Project, there will be a traffic controller on Ocean Reef Road, to assist students to cross the road safely. Please see the map/information attached. We urge all families whose children use this route to and from Woodvale Secondary College, to encourage them to cross with care and to watch for changing conditions as the roadworks progress.

Asha was hoping to raise $350 for the Leukemia Foundation's fight to... beat blood cancer, but raised over $1300. "I've had teachers and people I don't even know donate," she said. "People in my family have died from cancer, so I really hope to inspire others to do this and to donate to this great cause." 04.01.2022 Message from Katie Russel, Chair of the Board at WSC Hello! I am the Chair of the Woodvale Secondary College School Board and I wanted to share with you my experience from tonights Board meeting. As we are all aware the Government have supported families to make a decision to keep our children home or send them to school however our schools must remain open. This must be an extremely hard time for the school leadership team and their teachers however tonight I was inspired b...y their comments, sharing that they are motivated to keep teaching our children whilst preparing for a potential school closure. The school is becoming more and more prepared to support distance education and are working hard to keep students engaged in school during this challenging time. I felt a mix of emotions listening to the year 12 student leaders uncertain about their academic future and the postponement of extra-curricular activities that they look forward to in their final year of college; however I was also heartened by their comments about how they felt such a strong connection between students and teachers; knowing that the support they require is always there. They are keen to continue to be role models for the other year groups. These are unusual times and we all need to be flexible and considerate. Whatever your individual decision is regarding sending your children to school, I thought you would be pleased to know that Woodvale Secondary College is open for business. The College leaders and teachers are motivated and keen to continue our childrens education as best as they possibly can in whatever circumstance is mandated by the State or Federal Government.
