25.01.2022 Tonight at 5:40pm Emergency Services across Australia will be sounding their Brigade Station and Truck Sirens (four times) as a mark of respect to the four Vict...orian Police Officers who tragically lost their lives last week. #emergencyservicesfamily #victoriapolice #cfa There is no reason to be concerned or alarmed should you hear one or more sirens sounding tonight at 5.40pm. When you hear the siren, pause with us as a sign of respect for the four Police Officers- RIP

25.01.2022 Remembering Ash Wednesday. 75 lives lost 180 fires 2,676 injured... 2,545 homes destroyed 8,000+ evacuated 130,000+ emergency services personnel deployed 513,979 hectares burnt On Wednesday 16 February 1983, winds of up to 110 km/h fanned hundreds of fires across Victoria and South Australia in temperatures over 40C as years of severe drought and extreme weather combined to create one of Australia's worst fire days in a century. It was Ash Wednesday, the deadliest bushfire disaster in Australian history until the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009 - 75 lives were lost including those of 13 CFA and 3 South Australian CFS firefighters while in the line of duty. While many years may have passed since that day, many individuals, families and communities still bear the scars of the devastation, including ours. The Macedon and Mount Macedon communities lost seven much-loved members and more than 400 homes including those of 23 members of the Mount Macedon brigade. We remember those no longer with us, and acknowledge those who continue to grieve for all that was lost that day. Together, in remembrance.

06.01.2022 Please remember, at 5:40pm TODAY - our brigade along with many others across the state will be sounding our siren four times in honour of the four Victoria Police officers who passed away on the 22/4/20. If you or any family members live in the Woodvale area, please don't be alarmed when you do hear the siren. But we ask you to pause for a moment and remember these heroes who died in the line of duty. Please spread the word.

06.01.2022 Woodvale Fire Brigade will be doing this as well to honour the lives of the 4 Victorian Police members that lost their lives just doing their job last Wednesday evening.
