16.01.2022 The Woodvale community is saddened by the news that John Riley has passed away. John died peacefully at St John of God hospital on 24 September 2019. John was a stalwart of the Woodvale community. He was President of the Woodvale Progress Association, Captain of the Fire Brigade and a keen supporter of the Woodvale community. Over the years, John has been involved in many community activities including the Bush Market, Clean Up Australia Day, and was the local school bus driver. John was born and raised in Woodvale and was the local go-to person when there were historical questions about local events. John will be sadly missed. The funeral will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, 2 October 2019 at William Farmer, Eaglehawk.
