19.01.2022 Given the current situation with COVID-19 it would be sensible that anyone who is sick follows the guidelines offered by the state and national authorities. If your pet is on long term medications we ask that you give us plenty of notice before running out as we have experienced some shortages due to medical demands. We are being proactive in our approach to hygiene. An assessment has be undertaken to ensure that we continue to following our high standard of hygiene. After ...all visits our equipment is disinfected with products that are effective against viruses, bacteria and fungi. We do ask that if you are sick, are in quarantine or have come into contact with someone who is affected, that you let us know before we arrive. This is so that we can come up with a plan on how to best assist you and your fur babies. Alternatively if you would like to arrange a video consultation we recommend visiting the following website https://www.phoneavet.com.au A video consultation can be arranged with Dr Jonathan Wood through the app. Please stay safe. 11.01.2022 #WARNING: Snakes are out and about Perth These healthy venomous ssssnakes were spotted ssslithering around Cockburn, Yanchep and Rockingham this afternoon. ...Have you seen any in your area? Parents and pet owners are being urged to be extra vigilant during the warmer months, especially when at the beach, bushland and backyard. "When at the beach do NOT leave your dog unattended or allow your dog to run/explore unsupervised. If you do walk your dog in bushland, please keep your dog on a lead," Balcatta Vet24 said. "If you see your dog with a snake, take your dog straight to the vet. Snake proof your garden at home - clear rubbish and long grass," the vet said. ? If you have room, remove yourself from the proximity of the snake as quickly or slowly as the situation dictates. If the snake is within striking distance (1/3rd of its length) remain perfectly still until the snake moves away. Movement is perceived as threatening and can provoke defensive behaviour or a bite. ? Call triple-0 straight away Keep calm and stay completely still Dont wash the bite so the venom can be identified Have another person apply a firm compression bandage, moving upwards on the limb Mark the bite spot for doctors to identify Make a splint with something long and sturdy Dont elevate the limb above the heart, to help slow the spread of venom SIGNS A PET HAS BEEN BITTEN Sudden weakness followed by collapse Shaking or twitching of muscles and difficulty blinking Vomiting Loss of bladder and bowel control Dilated pupils Paralysis Blood in urine Carrie Catlin | Jacquie Heal | Mandy Beggs Mignot

We will ...know more at the end of the week. He is home safe with the most important person in his life, his dad. Super grateful to Coastal Vet staff for todays Op and the love and care they gave our very old boy. Our dogs are our best friends, we commit to them and we provide for them. They are family....
