24.01.2022 Jim Paterson was a backpacker from Glasgow when he met Alex, a young mum from Belfast in a recording studio in Adelaide. They bonded over a shared experience of escaping tough bigoted areas in their home country and dreaming to embrace the new start Australia offered them. Over 25 years later The BordererS are loved across the globe for their Celtic rock music, even weaving in some zydeco, African, folk, gospel and other styles that take their fancy. More of their story is shared here: https://theborderers.com.au/biography/ Theyll be live streaming from Foyer Fridays on Fri 26 June.
24.01.2022 We have recently been informed that a company has been using our imagery and venue to promote a number of ‘Candlelight: Vivaldi Four Seasons’ events. This is not an approved Woodville Town Hall event and we recommend getting in touch directly with Fever, the event host, to query any ticket sales. In the meantime please refrain from purchasing any tickets to these events. We are trying to get in contact with the host directly to amend this.

Shes got something special in store; its her first gig since Covid hit and the future soul artist who is also one-half of Planetself with Inkswel will preview some new and exclusive solo and Planetself tracks for us. Cant wait! There is nothing that can compare to connecting with people, especially in such an intimate setting, Charli says of the upcoming gig. I write my songs for the people of ...the world, to inspire and uplift, so having a live audience means everything. Shell be joined on stage by Inkswel and well get to hear Charli who has worked with artists such as Metro Areas Darshan Jersani, Osunlade and The Bamboos Lance Ferguson perform recent singles Where the Water Used to Run and Wanderlust (a collaboration with the UKs Bugz in the Attic) and she will end her set with her brand-new single, Ley Lines, which has never been heard and will be released on Inner Tribe Records in a couple of months time. 17.01.2022 This is such a beautiful track by Corey Theatre Music. Its called Ngathuk Ngalina. Its the title track of his debut album, where Corey performs his personal and moving songs in his traditional Gunditjmara language and English to convey a sense of country and place. Gunditjmara hasnt been spoken fluently for close to 100 years, and Corey draws on community knowledge and historical documents to help revive the language over his laidback roots and blues grooves. Enjoy, and make sure you catch Corey this Friday at Woodville Town Hall with Charli Umami and Hannah Yates. Its a free event but to guarantee a spot, register via: woodvilletownhall.com.au/whats-on/foyer-fridays-live Doors open 5pm.
