25.01.2022 This is very concerning! Please do not neglect your health! We are open and business as usual. Please be reassured that we are taking strict measures and any patients who are presenting with cold and flu symtoms are either seen in isolation or as a phone consultation.

23.01.2022 Phone consultations are now available for patients who believe they might have contracted Covid-19 Virus. You can call us during our business hours on 07 3284 9452. This applies only to current patients, not new patients. Again, we urge that any patients who suspect they are contagious to not attend the clinic under no circumstances and to call instead during business hours. If you think you need to be seen urgently, call your local hospital or 000. Practice good hand hygiene, follow a good diet, get lots of fresh air when possible (but stay away from public if unwell) and stay positive!!

23.01.2022 Please remember that phone consultations are available! Please call on 3284 9452. If you know any elderly people, kindly let them know as they might not be aware that this option is available to them. This is also helpful for parents with young children. We are taking all precautions possible with the following methods:... 1. All patients booking in are being triaged. 2. 22.01.2022 We are receiving a few calls asking if we are still open. YES WE ARE :-) The only restrictions are that anyone with cold or flu symptoms are to call us on 32849452 and not to enter the clinic under no circumstances. For patients who would like a doctors consultation but are concerned about going out, you can call us for a phone consultation. This applies for all consulatations with no restrictions. Keep safe!

21.01.2022 Low on iron? Feeling tired for no reason? Iron infusions are done at WPMC. Call us and book an appointment. Please remember that iron infusions will not be done without a blood test confirming that you are low on iron.

Orders will be done next week so we should expect the fluvaccine to be availabe by the end of the month. Watch this space! :-)

These appointments can be given to others who genuinely need them! Please do the right thing before simply not turning up for an appointment!

07.01.2022 At Woody Point Medical Centre, the safety of our patients is our highest priority. With the outbreak of COVID-19, we would like to assure you that we are taking all necessary precautions following infection control guidelines and, above all, good hygiene to minimise any potential risks. All our door handles, surfaces in waiting areas and treatment room, pens etc... are being disinfected several times through the day in order to prevent cross contamination. Additionally, all patients being booked are triaged and if suspected of Covid-19, they are being referred to the Fever Clinics.

The risks: Getting older more than half of all cases are diagnosed in men over 70 years of age Family history having a family history of prostate cancer. Your risk is increased if you have a father or brother who had prostate cancer. The risk becomes greater if they were diagnosed at an early age Family history of breast cancer having a strong family history of breast cancer Obesity having a waist circumference of 100 cm or greater could increase your risk.

01.01.2022 Coronavirus. If you have travelled from overseas, or have been in contact with someone who travelled from overseas, and feeling unwell, the best thing to do is to quarantine yourself for at least 14 days. Avoid going to a medical centre or public places unless absolutely necessary. If you need to attend a medical centre, please call first and advice of symtoms. Hand washing (soap, warm water and scrubbing for 30 seconds) is the best way to prevent spreading viruses.
