The ATCA have banned the use ...of SALIVA ONLY but I have previously mentioned that it is preferred that sweat is not used from the facial area. That is only a recommendation and sweat is NOT BANNED. A summary of these changes is listed below: DENSITY REQUIREMENTS 1 person per 4sqm for indoor sport and recreation activities. 1 person per 2sqm for outdoor sport and recreation activities. WHAT'S ALLOWED? Outdoor sport (including sports training) activities, fitness or recreation activities. Indoor sport (including sports training) activities and indoor fitness or recreational activities. Swimming or other activities at swimming pools used by the public, as long as the density requirement of 1 person per 4sqm is complied with, with up to 50 people in a swimming pool at any one time. Indoor public meetings (i.e. AGMs). On-site purchase and consumption of food and beverages is permitted at a place if: Food and beverages are only consumed by patrons at an indoor place while seated (snack or hand held food or alcoholic beverages can be consumed standing outdoors while attending sport, fitness or recreation activities). Dear Club and Association Presidents, This communication is to provide you an update on the changed conditions for cricket in South Australia following the statements made this morning by the Premier, Chief Public Health Officer and Police Commissioner. What we know now is that individuals and members of the same household can exercise together outside effective immediately. This does not include club training or match fixtures. From Sunday, the law will be eased to a similar set of restrictions to those in place on Monday 16 November. However, the Police Commissioner was unable to advise of the effect of these changes on community sport. We are awaiting further advice and the formal direction from the Police Commissioner before sharing guidance on return to play. SACA will update you at that time. The club will also be running a BBQ Dinner from 6pm onwards. For Catering purposes could you please let me know via email or text if you are coming for the BBQ Dinner If you have a child who is not playing cricket for the club but would like them to meet Santa, simply wrap a small present, attach the child’s name and age to the gift and hand it in upon arrival at the club. They will then be called up to receive the present from the COVID Safe Santa. This event is always the highlight in the clubs social calendar and I hope you will be able to attend and share in the Christmas cheer with everyone. 04.01.2022 RETURN TO PLAY The most significant change confirmed by the Premier today was the requirement for all organisations with a COVID Safe Plan, including sporting c...lubs, to utilise a QR Code system to support Contact Tracing. As the leaders of cricket in SA, we ask for your support in undertaking the following actions: Ø Direct your club members and supporters to the SACA Return to Play protocols, see below, in particular the ‘one-page protocols summary’ Ø Review your club’s COVID Safe Plan and ensure compliance. Ø Ensure that your club’s QR code is printed and placed in all relevant areas, i.e. inside club rooms, change rooms and on outside facilities (i.e. nets) at all venues. Ø All attendees are expected to be familiar with SA Health’s contact tracing direction and act accordingly. Please ask your club members to visit the SA Health website to see the locations of concern.

02.01.2022 Reminder to clubs that following last weekend’s washouts, this Saturday’s matches in A1 to C2 will be played as one day fixtures. Games will start at ...12:30 rather than the usual 1pm, Bowlers can bowl a maximum of 9 overs, and Field restrictions will be in place for A1 to A3 (maximum of 2 fielders outside the circle for the first 10 overs). Curators are reminded to mark wide lines for all games and the 30 yard fielding circle for A1 to A3 matches.
