18.01.2022 Should you buy the new iPhone 12? Here's a few things you should note before upgrading: Repairability has been going downhill on Apple phones since before the iPhone X. Some of you may know that on the iPhone 6 they made it so if you were to replace the home button your Touch ID function will no longer work. Similarly, on the iPhone 7 / 8 they made it so if you replace the home button it won't work at all. The only way to fix these issues is to go to Apple and have them fix ...it. And it's not cheap. They continued this trend onto the iPhone X, XR, 11 and 12. Now making it so if the Screen, Battery, Camera or speaker is replaced it with either notify you on your screen that the part has been replaced, or it will just outright stop working. With the iPhone 12 the the camera will not work if it is replaced under any circumstances, this is the same for the Face ID components (including the speaker). If they are damaged in any way you will have to go to Apple to have it fixed. Currently screen and battery replacements are possible on all Apple devices by third party repairers like us, you'll just be notified on screen that the part has been changed. These are some points to keep in mind when upgrading to a new Apple iPhone. If you are interested in the blocks that have been put in place on each phone here's a list of the main ones: iPhone X: Face ID (including ear speaker) will not work if damaged or replaced. iPhone XR: Display notification if screen or battery have been replaced. All of the above. iPhone 11 (all models) All of the above iPhone 12 (all models) Camera will not work if damaged or replaced. All of the above

09.01.2022 **We now have Apple logo rear glass in stock** Update / notice for anyone needing rear glass replacements* In the last few months Apple has been cracking down on aftermarket wholesalers selling rear glass / housings for iPhones with Apple logos on them. ... Our supplier (and most other suppliers) now are no longer distributing rear glass with Apple logos on them. What does this mean? This means any rear glass replacement from now onwards will NOT have an Apple logo on the back. On the positive side, the repairs are now a bit cheaper! 03.01.2022 Dropped your phone in water? Your phone may act normal after pulling it out, but after a few days or weeks of use corrosion will set in and start to destroy your phone. Once this happens it is very hard to repair back to normal or even get any data off it. If you drop your phone in water DO NOT try and turn it on or charge it! As this could short your phone and fry the logic board. Also do not put your phone in rice. Rice does nothing to dry out the phone and only gives th...e device time for corrosion to set in. If you ever drop your phone in water take it to a repair shop that knows what do to, like us! And remember, no phone is water proof. Only water resistant, which doesnt last forever.
