17.01.2022 With storms and rain being predicted for the next week in our region, we thought we would share some interesting facts that you may or may not know about your woofa and how they can be affected. Woofas can hear four times stronger than we can, meaning the sound of thunder and pouring rain is much louder to them. This increase in noise can cause some dogs to become nervous and overwhelmed. If your woofa starts to pant, pace, bark, or hide they are afraid and need comfort.... Some woofas hate having their paws wet and will not go on the wet ground or grass. Scents around the home and in the air are much stronger which makes them more aware of things like wild animals or other animals near them. Your woofa can also experience static electricity in their coats! Interesting fact hey! This can explain why you find your woofa in weird places like the bathroom, to stop the feeling of electricity. We found these facts pretty interesting! Most importantly, make sure you comfort your woofa when they are distressed. What have you noticed your woofa does when it storms/rains?

16.01.2022 Woofalicious is changing owners! After having a lot of fun, I have sold Woofalicious and will hand over the reins to the new owner after this weekend. 01.01.2022 Anzac Day is a day of national remembrance honouring those who served and gave their lives during times of conflict, peacekeeping operations and war. Anzac Day is also an opportunity to remember the loyalty and sacrifice of the service animals who stood alongside their battalions during these times. Animals have played a critical role during war times for centuries. Theyve provided comfort and inspiration, been guards and mascots, carried messages and hunted enemies.... Did you know, that more than 16 million animals served during the First World War? Dogs were used as messengers, companions, and military working animals. Since they have a keen sense of smell and excellent hearing, dogs were often used to find wounded soldiers. Probably the most famous dog and certainly the most decorated of the First World War was United States Army dog Sergeant Stubby. He was the official mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment. During his 18 months of service, he took part in 17 battles on the Western Front. His feats included finding and comforting wounded soldiers, catching and holding a German soldier by the seat of his pants and saving his regiment from a surprise mustard gas attack. On Anzac Day, lets take our hats off to dogs everywhere in the world in honour of the important roles they have played and continue to play in our lives and in maintaining our safety, provide companionship, support and comfort us every day. Lest We Forget.
