25.01.2022 To All Golfers - Important Health Notice In response to the outbreak of the Corona Virus, known as COVID 19, WGC is developing strategies to minimise the risk of the spread of infection. Apart from the obvious health risks COVID19 poses a significant risk that services may be interrupted due to the reduction or complete withdrawal of staff should they be subject to 14 days self-isolation. This may occur with little or no notice. ... While we could tolerate closing the bar and catering service for 14 days we would have major difficulty keeping the course open should all the green staff become infected at once. In an effort to minimise these risks the staff have been provided information regarding COVID19 and a contingency plan has been developed. ***** PLEASE do not attend the Club until you have been given clearance by a doctor that you are not infectious. ***** For your own safety and the safety of others please observe the following: * if you have any of the symptoms described in the Dept of Health information attached or, * you have recently travelled from a country that has been subject to a travel restriction by the Australian Government or, * you have been in direct contact with a person that has been diagnosed with corona virus. ***** PLEASE do not attend the Club until you have been given clearance by a doctor that you are not infectious. ***** M. 10.01.2022 Heres a simple and easy solution for getting your ball out of the hole with the flag stick in without damaging the hole. To make it easier to retrieve their balls, we introduced new pins with cups on the end. Being able to putt with the pin in, certainly has sped up the game but made it more difficult to get the ball out of the hole. However, this has led to the edges of the hole being damaged by players carelessly lifting and replacing the pins. Check out our video tip.

08.01.2022 Unfortunately...Nine Wine and Dine this Friday is cancelled. Friday Open golf competition on 20 March will be reinstated and is open for bookings today. Friday evening preferential booking at the Clubhouse at 6:00pm will still occur.

Thank you to all the teams, club caterers, bar staff and officials for an exceptional season.... The competition this year was top notch with newcomers Monash winning division 6, Moore Park runners up, Cabramatta 3rd and Woollahra a close 4th.

A new timesheet will be opened allowing members to book in pairs. 9 holes only to ensure everyone gets to play. DO NOT TOUCH the flagsticks. The cups have been turned bottom side up to ensure you don't touch the flagstick. Habits take time to change but we don't have the luxury of time, stay safe and MAKE THE CHANGE!
