07.01.2022 It was so great to run a two-day girl camp with 18 super talented Optimist girls from all over Sydney at the club. We are also very grateful with the 18ft footer league for so very kindly getting involved. Big thanks go in particular to Jessica Crisp (4-time Olympian) for a very inspirational speech that kicked things off showing these girls how far they can take their sailing career. To top things up we also welcomed Yvette Heritage skipper of the mighty ‘Noakes Group 18ft... skiff boat’ sponsored by #gill #marineplus who came along to the club with a fantastic crew of guys: John Walton and Tom Clout to take all these young girls for exhilarating rides around shark island. Under close supervision from club coaches Alex Zimmermann, Mina Ferguson, Bec Hancock and Wallis Brewer these girls were able to build new friendships, improve their sailing and go faster than ever! #woollahrasailingclub #rosebay #optisailing #18footers https://www.woollahrasailingclub.org.au/opti-girls-clinic/
