25.01.2022 STRAIGHT TO THE POOL ROOM || A massive congratulations to Cox Architecture for bringing home the gold in the North Queensland Regional Architecture Awards for the outstanding James Cook University Central Plaza, built by Woollam and designed by COX and Counterpoint Architecture. Already holding a Regional Master Builders Award in Construction Excellence, the project added another shining trophy to the shelf; winning The Walter and Oliver Tunbridge Award for Building of the Ye...ar in North Queensland. 18.01.2022 MORE THAN A WORD || Our Brisbane Office kicked off reconciliation week with a visit from Indigenous contemporary artist and cultural awareness educator, Duane Doyle. Reflecting on his own reconciliation journey, Duane shared the practice of ‘Dadirri’ - deep, respectful listening and silent awareness; imploring every one of us to take the time to listen and learn, not only during National Reconciliation Week, but always. 14.01.2022 WE REMEMBER || This Remembrance Day, we reflect on the company’s own history of service. Keith Woollam, company director from 1953-2003, served in the 467 Squadron RAAF bomber squad in WWII. Flight Sergeant K.C. Woollam served as Bomb Aimer on the Lancaster DV396. Lancaster DV396 took off from RAF Waddington at 1631 hours on 2 November 1944 to bomb Dusseldorf, Germany. Bomb load 14 x 1000lb bombs. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it did not return to ba...se. Fifteen aircraft from the Squadron took part in the raid and one of these DV396 failed to return. It was later established that the aircraft came down in Allied held territory. Both FO Langridge (Pilot) and Flt Sgt Lemin (Rear Gunner) were killed and the other five crew members were reported safe in American lines. The two members killed are buried in the Hotton War Cemetery, Luxembourg, Belgium. See more

13.01.2022 TICKLED PINK || Our Rocky Art Gallery team were delighted to be visited by MATES in Construction last week to bestow onto them a certificate of appreciation for all their sensational fundraising efforts. Over the course of the build, the team managed to raise a whopping $7,000 towards suicide awareness and prevention

12.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK || Woollam acknowledges the First Nations people as the original inhabitants of Australia. We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land and acknowledge all Elders past, present and emerging. You'll now find an acknowledgment of country plaque and map of Indigenous Australia at the entrance of every Woollam office, a very small step to mark the beginning of Woollam's Reconciliation Action Plan journey

Prepare, administer and maintain contracts. Review, approve and forecast monthly project costs and claims. Ensuring Procore documents and directory are up to date....
