25.01.2022 Today we wished our member Jillian Convoy, and office staff member, a fond farewell as she retires to Nelson Bay. Happy golfing Jillian and thank you for all you have done working and representing our club.
24.01.2022 There were many birthdays celebrated in the club today but none more special than our lovely medal winning, hip hop granny, Margrethe Roye who turned 80 this week. Margrethe was a valued member on our ladies committee for many years and a great supporter of our charity days. Margrethe was presented with a special Vet’s recognition from her fellow St George Girls High school friend and Vet’s representative Jill Roach.

20.01.2022 Ham’s Day brought out some top scoring today with 19 ladies playing to their handicap or better. Sue Wyse led the way with 45 points. It was wonderful to see all the festive colours out on the course today and after a tough year it was good to be able to get into the Christmas spirit We hope to see you all next Tuesday night at our Presentation Night where we have raffles, lucky door prizes, trivia games and of course trophies for all our winners. Come and share in the fun.
17.01.2022 We would like to send our best wishes to Margrethe Roye who had a fall last Wednesday while playing golf with Port Hacking Ladies and broke her femur. We are told after an operation she is recovering well and has kept her wonderful sense of humour and positive attitude. Sending all out love Margrethe.
16.01.2022 The rain held off today so the third round of Championships could be played and the champions crowned. Congratulations to our 2020 Club Champion Donna Rann (255) followed closely by defending Champion Deb Timmins (259). Division 2 Champion is Pam Northey (307) and runner up Susan Foster (309). Division 3 Champion is Leila Hallinan (321) and runner up Sue Wyse (327). Division 4 Champion is Therese Baker (339) and runner up Lorraine Alexander (340). ... 13.01.2022 Today we played a 3BBB and the winning team with a score of 89 points was Leila Hallinan , Trish Huthwaite and Jennie Panozzo. Leila had a Birdie on the 8th with a Gobbler which scored her 5 points! The trophy was donated by the pro shop and we thank Brad and staff for their support in what has been a challenging year.
13.01.2022 After rain delay and postponement we finally played our final round of Foursomes today (or as some might call it Gruesomes). Our Champions, with a wonderful score of 171, were Deb Timmins and Donna Rann. Runners up were Liane Nowak and Belinda Hammond. Division 2 champions were Virginnia Hewitt and Judith Shade. Runners up were Sandra Crestani and Carolyn McKellar Division 3 Champions were Lynette Gourley and Robyn Hunter. ... Runners up were Liz Lukin and Robyn Clark. The 36 hole nett prize donated by Carol Page and Di Smith was won by Debbie Timmins and Donna Rann. 10.01.2022 It was a great contest between Presidents and Captains today but after two years the Captains team won back the trophy, victorious over the Presidents team 682 to 670. The winners of the 4bbb Captains team were past Captain Liane Nowak and past Vice Captain Robyn Maxted with 45 points. The winners of the 4bbb Presidents team were Carolyn Heyward and Janeen Dargaville with 44 points.

09.01.2022 We were so pleased to be able to pass on a cheque for $1660 to Sarah Mross from Dandelion, when she came to visit us today. Thank you to those who donated prizes and to everyone who bought tickets to help raise money for such a worthy cause. Hopefully next year we will be able to host our charity day and raise lots more money to help families in need through this wonderful organisation.
09.01.2022 Presentation Night 2020 was a night to celebrate and we all did just that. While congratulating our champions, we looked back on what was a challenging year. Thanks to, our very hard working committee, we were all able to continue playing in our golf competitions this year and a lot of that credit goes to Ladies President Paula Webb and Ladies Captain Belinda Hammond. A big thank you goes to Janeen Dargaville who organised our trivia and games for the night. It was a lot of fun. Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy Christmas and New Year
