25.01.2022 Last weekend I was fortunate to meet up with Steve Jager, a charismatic Ned Kelly researcher, who took me on a 6-hour bush hike through Byrne Gully, located in the Woolshed Valley. We were searching for historic sites that were once used by Aaron Sherritt and Joe Byrne. It was great day, full of fun and one not to forget thanks Steve. Watch out for more pictures to come! https://www.woolshedvalleyco.com.au/

22.01.2022 In 1881 the Victorian Government held a Royal Commission into the Kelly Outbreak. The inquiry identified a triangular parcel of land where the Ned Kelly Gang reigned for twenty months, committing daring exploits of crime. This land lies between Benalla, Mansfield and Beechworth and includes the King Valley, Warby Ranges and Woolshed Valley in North East Victoria, Australia. This land became known as....... Kelly Country!! To view the Kelly Country map, head to our website t...o explore!!! https://www.woolshedvalleyco.com.au/kelly-country-map/ See more

03.01.2022 #exploreeldorado Eldorado is a lovely country town located at the western end of the Woolshed Valley near Beechworth. Steeped in history Eldorado is well worth a visit. The town has a large park and picnic area, a bakery, a general store that also supplies fuel and of course, a beer garden. You can visit the Eldorado Museum, which displays historic artifacts from the district and the Cock’s mining dredge. The dredge is located around 5 kilometres just out of town as you travel along the Wangaratta Eldorado Road.

03.01.2022 Yesterday I was fortunate to attend this event and learn about the discovery of the actual location of the Kennedy Tree. This is the location of where the police found the body of Sergeant Michael Kennedy after the police shootings at Stringybark creek. This discovery was made by four local amateur historians, Noeleen, Adrian, Tony and Jim who presented their findings at the event. Their research and report into their discovery was very thorough and compelling. I had a great and enjoyable day

02.01.2022 A Journey Through Kelly Country has had a thorough CAT scan and he believes it’s a Catastrophe, there are too many pictures of Ned and not enough pictures of cat. Anthony may have to change the book for our harshest critic!!! -Jess

01.01.2022 Take a trip into Ned Kellys early childhood and visit one of the houses he grew up in, all covered in depth in A Journey Through Kelly Country
