23.01.2022 What a great night. Not realising it was a long weekend we weren’t expecting the huge crowd, about 40 people turned up on a perfect viewing night. Thanks for everyones patience and long waits but we think everyone had a good time. Someone dropped their sunglasses which we have placed on the outside shelf on the Southern side of the dome.

23.01.2022 The wind was cold & the moon was bright, but the viewing was great, we had around 30 visitors, some travelling & some locals, we even had a family revisit from about 5yrs ago. Thank you for everyone’s understanding and abiding with the social distancing.

20.01.2022 well we had over twenty people turn up last night in almost perfect viewing conditions. A bit of cloud at the start of the night. A few overseas and interstaters and especially great to see a large number of Roxby and Woomera locals there.

20.01.2022 We’ll be there about 8:30pm tonight, however with the wind & cloud cover the viewing doesn’t look too promising at this stage. We’ll be there about 8:30pm tonight, however with the wind & cloud cover the viewing doesn’t look too promising at this stage.

13.01.2022 The forecast is predicting clouds to come over Woomera tonight and there is a chance of 40+ gusts of winds. All that said we will be down there at 9 p.m. and we hope the forecast is incorrect.

02.01.2022 The clouds kept small & though the wind picked up a bit & made the night quite nippy the viewing was great for our 15-20 visitors. We had some wonderful families, some travellers, some locals old & new. A lot was learned and a good night was had by all.

02.01.2022 We have just arrived at the observatory & the clouds are trying to rain on us.....Not a great sign, at this stage of the clouds don’t clear there will be no viewing tonight.
