So... two more markets before winter. Thursday 19th and 26th March 4.30-7.30. at Wooragee Hall. 22.01.2022 This year has highlighted the need for strong food systems and how vital food producers are. In this webinar The Open Food Network will be discussing with local people how to strengthen and shorten the food supply chain, at the same time improving outcomes for food growers. "Short Food Supply Chains: Opportunities & Challenges for Farmers in NE Vic" June 17th, 6.30 see link below

21.01.2022 One of our new stallholders is Renaissance Chocolates and we are sooooo looking forward to their stall. They will have boxes of chocolates, Easter Bunnies, chocolate bars and mini frogs. If you're going to do some stocking up make it something important.... like chocolates. Made in Beechworth, with a mission like this they fit in perfectly with our market... "Renaissance Chocolates is a family business and our creed is ‘to use high quality couverture to make unique hand made chocolates and to employ local people and use local ingredients where possible all the time treading as lightly as possible on our environment." #renaissancechocolates

17.01.2022 It might be time to stock up on the beautiful soaps made by Lisa at Wooragee Soaps. All soaps are made from locally grown virgin olive oil. They are free from chemicals, parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, cruelty. They look and smell lovely and great to have as little presents stored away in the cupboard ..until you weaken and use them yourself. Next market March 19th 4.30-7.30

12.01.2022 In case you missed it, just a reminder that we have cancelled the Wooragee Produce Market tomorrow March 19th. We’re obviously very sad about it. Take it easy everyone and we look forward to catching up when things are a bit calmer.

12.01.2022 Would be great to support Renaissance Chocolates. One of our local businesses affected in the corona virus fallout. They will last till Easter in a cool dark place... if you can be strong-willed. #renaissancechocolates

10.01.2022 We're really pleased to have Prisoners on the Run selling seedlings and other plants at our market next Thursday 19th. Now is a perfect time to get some veggies in the ground while the soil is still warm, and the rain has been perfect. You may not know that Prisoners on the Run is a charity that donates locally to disadvantaged kids. The plants are grown by the prisoners and the proceeds provide things like computers. So get those garden beds ready for planting next weekend.

09.01.2022 Like many other event organisers we are faced with the challenge of deciding what to do in light of the new recommendations re corona virus. While we know we won’t have 500 people there, we have decided that it’s the responsible thing to cancel our Wooragee market this coming week. We’re very sorry for our producers and our customers. We had our wonderful regular stallholders lined up, but also some pretty exciting new ones coming along so we’re obviously very disappointed. If we decide now hopefully our producers can make plans with their produce. All the best everyone and look forward to catching up with you soon

08.01.2022 We've been in hibernation since Christmas but its time for us to shake off the dust and smoke and get thinking about our next market. We are meeting this Friday to discuss some options and you'll be the first to know.... so keep an eye out for what's next.

02.01.2022 Gayle will be at Wooragee Produce Market Thursday March 19th about 4.30. She will be selling subsidised European Wasp Traps, giving advice and also having the last of the Fruits fly gear for this season. Lets get on top of those nasty European Wasps.
