12.01.2022 The Resilience Project- Parent Seminar Dear Parents and Guardians, We were due to have Hugh speak to us from the Resilience Project tomorrow night. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, we are unable to hold this event onsite at the school.... The session will now run via a zoom meeting. You don't have to have booked to now be able to access the session. The session is Wednesday 16th June 6.30-8.00pm You can access this session via the following link. Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89826841714 Meeting ID: 898 2684 1714 Passcode: 120518 If you are experiencing any technical issues, please email the school on [email protected]. This email will be monitored at the beginning of the meeeting for 15 minutes to assist. The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs to schools, sports clubs and businesses and provides them with evidence based, practical strategies to build resilience and happiness. The Resilience Project has delivered programs to over 1000 schools around the country and worked with many elite sporting teams including Australian cricket, netball and soccer, NRL and AFL clubs. Through presentations, wellbeing journals, schools curriculum, teacher diaries and their App, The Resilience Project seeks to help all Australians become mentally healthy. Programs offered by The Resilience Project are based on the following strategies: Gratitude - Appreciating what you have, not begrudging what you don’t. Empathy - Thinking of the needs of others/kindness. Mindfulness - Being present in the moment, not becoming distracted by unhelpful or negative thoughts. During this presentation, Hugh will share his experiences and combine them with practical strategies that can be implemented everyday to improve our overall wellbeing. This is a session not to be missed and we encourage you all to logon to this session. Please contact the school if you have any questions. Kind regards, Woori Yallock Primary School.
