11.01.2022 This is one that I come across so often when proofing. I think the difference between "its" and "it's" gets confusing because we have learned that an apostrophe "s" ('s) is used to show possession. For example Rob's drums, or the man's head. But in the case of "it's" and "its", "it's" means "it is" or "it has", while "its" is the possessive. The trick is to read the sentence and replace the "its" or "it's" with "it is" or "it has". If it still makes sense, "it's" is the winner. #proofreading #grammar #contentmarketing
