13.01.2022 Purest Strength Original Composition Sherryl Chilcott 2002 She is the strongest person I know, Always the last to let her real pain show.... She would do anything for you, Always a big smile is let shine through. She will never show her defeat, Although sometimes she will show tempers heat. She will never be the one to do you wrong, Just give her a place where she can belong. She will fight back when you cross her, But, love her and you will never have any bother. She is the one for which I have the most respect, Never shall I show her unfaithfulness or neglect. She is the rock on which I stand in life’s sea, She will never leave or desert because she is me.

11.01.2022 It's been a while since I posted something new for you, this is a self composition I wrote a few years ago. The concept deals with love and how the heart wants what it wants and there is no way of controlling it. If I ever forgot your name I’d still go on loving you,... When we’re old and grey I’ll still go on loving you. When we fight and shout I still go on loving you, If another catches your eye I’d still go on loving you. When age takes my senses I’ll still go on loving you, If you ever left and deserted me I’d still go on loving you. As each second of the day passes I still go on loving you, As each day dawns anew I’ll still go on loving you.

02.01.2022 Today I wore a pink lanyard As we arrived ready for the walk, with 35kms in front of us, we were handed our walkers pack. I didn’t notice that the lanyard in Norm’s pack was dark purple blue and mine was hot pink. During the opening ceremony they announced that those of us that were wearing pink lanyards were in fact survivors.... We are the ones that have beaten cancer. Sadly there were only a few of us with this honour participating in the walk. I believe research will change this. I am still coming to turns with all this, I AM A SURVIVOR!!! I won, clear margins around my medium to high grade DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ - Breast Cancer) means I won. Today I wore a pink lanyard with all the pride of a survivor. #WhyIWalkPerth S Chilcott original 04.05.2019
