22.01.2022 Celebrate the end of exams with a tour to one of our favourite places here in South Australia .... the Yorke Peninsula where the South Aussie’s like to holiday!!! Yorke’s as the locals call it is an amazing place to visit - serene, yet full of wildlife with bushland, rugged cliffs and secluded ocean beaches as well as some of the best fishing and surfing in the country. After arriving we start with a 2-hour beginner lesson to introduce us to the art of surfing. Neptune Surf s...chool will deliver the group lessons and held on a pristine beach on Yorke Peninsula Perfect conditions for the following activities: Bush walking to see native animals in their natural environment 2 days with 2-hour surf lessons (you don’t need to be a strong swimmer for this activity) Our Private accommodation at Stenhouse Bay is based in the heart of the Innes National Park. We have exclusive use of male and female bedrooms, camp kitchen, male and female toilets and showers. Fishing (all bait and equipment supplied) BBQ’s in the great outdoors Once again with the kind generosity of Study Adelaide, our full 3-day Surf Safari has everything included for only $330 per person. 20.01.2022 Exclusive For International Students SATURDAY 21 MARCH 2020 COST: $130 PP Generously supported by Study Adelaide... Words on Wheels invites you to join us on a tour of Kangaroo Island. The third largest island off the coast of Australia, Kangaroo Island is a nature wonderland. With 30% of its land protected as national and conservation parks, the island offers pristine wilderness and opportunities to see wildlife in its natural habitat. The day will also focus on the amazing transformations of the bush after recent bushfires.The island is a world-class nature-based tourist destination and is regarded as a key attraction in South Australia. Kangaroo Island is spectacular and of great significance for biodiversity conservation. Departing Adelaide at 6.15am and Flinders University at 6.40am we make our way to Cape Jervis and transfer to the Sealink Ferry. The journey across the Backstairs Passage is aboard a modern and comfortable ferry. Once on the island we first make our way to the very special Seal Bay Conservation Park. Here we join a ranger-guided walk among a rare colony of Australian Sealions. The ranger will teach you all you need to know about these fascinating animals. After a picnic lunch at Bales Beach we will head to Kangaroo Island’s Little Sahara for some sandboarding fun on the dunes. Later in the afternoon there is an opportunity to visit one of the Island’s local producers. Clifford’s Honey Farm is home to the purest strain of the Ligurian bee. Here you can buy fine honey and other products which is produced from the Island’s diverse flora. It is also home to Jenny Clifford’s famous honey ice-cream. Last stop before leaving KI is a walk-up Prospect Hill to take in spectacular 360 views of beautiful Kangaroo Island. Departing Penneshaw at 5.30pm. 06.01.2022 To All International Students & Partners It is with great sadness to inform you that ‘Words On Wheels’ is having to put our business on pause. At least, until the borders re-open, the planes start flying and international students are permitted to travel locally again.... Certainly has been a really tough time for everyone throughout Australia. Fingers and toes crossed, we will all overcome the current social isolation requirements and be safely traveling together, doing what we all love.
