22.01.2022 Hi everyone. The next P&C meeting will be held in the school library at 5.45pm tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, 18th August). It would be great to see a few more parents/carers come along, as there are only a few more meetings until the next AGM (early in 2021), where it is uncertain if Executive positions will be filled. The P&C really needs the support of our school's families to make things happen.
22.01.2022 Hello everyone. Best wishes to all for the start of Term 4...the final term in what has certainly been a very challenging year for many. Our principal, Kathryn Todd, will be co-presenting a speech about education in a COVID climate, at the Noreen Wilcox Award for Excellence in Education evening later this month (see information attached). If you would like to go along to the evening, the details for ticket purchases are also in the information attached. Take care.
22.01.2022 Hello everyone. The next P&C meeting will also be a special meeting, to discuss and possibly change the wording of the constitution around quorum numbers. It will be held at 5.45pm in the school library, on Tuesday, 17th September. It is also hoped that there will be a number of possible projects put forward for consideration of the P&C to provide funding support. Take care.
21.01.2022 Hello everyone. The P&C AGM was held last week and the great news is that Carmen Broad has joined the team again as Treasurer...the finances are in very good hands. Julie Joinbee and Bill Schutz stayed on as our Vice Presidents and I have remained in the position of President. We currently do not have anyone in the role of Secretary, so if you are interested in joining the team and are pretty good at emails and like organising, please make contact with one of the P&C Execu...tive team who can talk to you about what it involves. This will be my last term in the position of President and it is unknown how long our other current members can continue to commit to their involvement on the committee. The school community really needs the support of our parents to ensure that facilities such as the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop can continue to service the needs of our students and staff. The P&C also oversees the allocation of funds raised and helps the school community by working with the Admin team across a range of matters that affect our children/students. If you can help in any way and would like to learn more about the P&C, please contact one of the P&C Executive team or Kathryn Todd. Take care, everyone and best wishes to you all for the remainder of the year. Sarah

18.01.2022 Hello everyone. The last P&C meeting for the year is being held at 5.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, 19th November) in the school library. Thank you to everyone who has supported the P&C this year and we really hope to see a few more friendly faces in 2020. A list of some of the projects supported/carried out by the P&C this year includes:... Provision of the prizes for our school year book cover competition and cash prizes for student attendance rewards Sponsorship of uniforms for the Music and STEM scholarships Purchase of new netball dresses, football shorts and AFL singlets for the PE Department Purchase of a new upright freezer for the tuckshop Purchase of a P&C Banner to improve our identity at events Organising of uniform shirts for P&C Staff Payment of EQ required insurance for students travelling to Borneo Installation of new cash registers in the tuckshop and a Sausage sizzle held for our first Parent/Teacher night There is so much more that we would love to do for our school community, however we really need the support of more parents/carers/family members to help us continue to offer these sorts of supports to our students and wider school community. Take care everyone.

10.01.2022 Hello, everyone :-). Our second last P&C meeting for the year is being held next Tuesday, 20th October, starting at 5.45pm, in the school library. We are hoping to finish the year on a really positive note and will be discussing funding support for a number of applications that have been submitted by staff for improvements around the school. 10.01.2022 Happy World Teacher's Day (QLD version), to all of the wonderful teachers out there who make a positive difference to the lives of so many children. This in turn often leads to making a positive difference in the lives of the children's families, so keep doing what you do. We would also like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank all of the wonderful staff in our school who help so many others within our school community. Take care.
09.01.2022 Hello everyone. We hope you are all managing to stay safe, healthy and connected during these interesting times. Some of us have been continuing to work quietly in the background to make sure that the P&C can hit the ground running when things return to the 'new normal' and our staff remain connected and supported. Some information that was shared with me today is about the FNQ Youth Assistance Fund and them reaching out to members of the community who would benefit from t...heir support. The aim of the Community Crisis Fund is to provide food and medical vouchers to disadvantaged youths, up to 24 years of age, or families in crisis, suffering severe acute financial duress due to loss of job and income directly resulting from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you, or someone you know could use some support, please have a look at their website https://www.fnqyaf.org.au/ . Take care, all and hopefully we'll see you on the flip-side. See more

If you have any matters you would like raised at the meeting, but you are unable to participate on the night, please also send that information to us through a private message. Thank you, everyone and take care.
07.01.2022 Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying a positive start to the 2020 school year. P&C members have kicked this year off with a bang and have donated $2000 to the CISSA Sports program, which has returned to the school this year. This has enabled the school to reduce the cost for students participating in the program. If you feel that there is something within our school community that would benefit from the support of the P&C, please let us know and better yet, come alo...ng and be a part of the decision making process. Our first P&C meeting for the year is being held on Tuesday, 18th February in the school library, starting at 5.30pm. The AGM will be held in March. Take care, everyone and hopefully we'll see you soon.
