17.01.2022 If there's anything I not so secretly love, it's green building solutions. The affair began when we bought an earth sheltered home a few years ago (one of the first in Australia, built in 1986 after the Ash Wednesday bush fires) and did a full renovation. On any given night of the week you'll find me hungrily scoping out better building techniques and pining for fancy German doors (the kind you see on Grand Designs that have to be ordered 2 years in advance). It's an obsessi...on I never saw coming! So when Suzanne and Devin Grant from Granted Constructions reached out to ask me to shoot the building process of their Passive House in Emerald I jumped at the chance. The first Passive elements started going in on Thursday (a membrane wrap to make sure the flooring has no air gaps whatsoever) and I was so thrilled to capture the first instalment of this incredible home and the people responsible.
