24.01.2022 RECRUITMENT NEWS Workcom now has over 80 Rehabilitation Consultants across Australia. We would like you to meet some of our newer staff members; so, each month, we will introduce a couple of them and bring you their background. JUDY BARKER OT - MELBOURNE... Judy is an Occupational Therapist with more than 25 years’ experience in the rehabilitation industry and she has worked across the Clinical, Occupational Rehabilitation and Insurer fields. She has worked in return to work focussed case management within the NSW and Victorian WorkCover and Comcare schemes, motor vehicle accident schemes as well as working with large employers in the non-compensable field. Judy has worked with a range of injuries including serious head and spinal injuries, general musculoskeletal and psychological injuries. Judy has achieved consistently high rehabilitation outcomes across these fields and is motivated to continue to deliver successful results working with all stakeholders. LAURA NUSSBAUM - RC Perth, WA Laura is a Rehabilitation Counsellor with more than 20 years’ experience in the rehabilitation industry, having originally trained as a Speech Pathologist in 1985 and then gaining her Rehabilitation Counsellor qualifications in 1990. Having ‘cut her teeth’ on Workers Compensation claimants, she has moved to a much greater focus on Income Protection/Salary Continuance in more recent times. While she excels in the management of claimants with mental health conditions, she is equally comfortable with claimants who have physical disabilities.
