19.01.2022 Fantastic news for regional tourism in South Australia yesterday, with the Premier Steven Marshall announcing a $20 million support package - Tourism Industry D...evelopment Fund (TIDF) to encourage private investment in regional tourism development. The TIDF offers grants from $20,000 to $500,000 for new and improved regional accommodation, and quality tourism product and experiences. This fund is limited to private sector businesses in the regions, with a maximum of 30 per cent State Government funding committed to the total project value. Projects must commence within three months from time of a successful application. Examples could include new accommodation or refurbishments to existing properties, transport to create or enhance tourism experiences, or infrastructure to enhance visitor engagement including a new cellar door experience or an interactive display. It aims to assist in the COVID recovery of regional tourism, by encouraging regional operators to improve and diversify so they can attract more visitors and get a higher return on their offering. Applications open Monday 14 September 2020 at 9:00 am and will close 31 March 2022. All details can be found at: tourism.sa.gov.au/support/tourism-industry-development-fund.

17.01.2022 Australia supports Bhutan in its COVID-19 preparedness, response and recovery. Extending support to Bhutan in its fight against COVID-19, the Australian Governm...ent has supplied medical equipment in response to the Royal Government of Bhutans request for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The medical supplies, which include protective clothing, sanitising liquid and protective masks, reached Bhutan today, and will support Bhutans implementation of its COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan. Australias Ambassador to Bhutan, His Excellency the Honble Barry OFarrell AO, said Australia stands alongside Bhutan in the fight against COVID-19. We are working with the Royal Government to support health workers, and the community, to access the necessary equipment to minimise the spread of infection. This assistance will provide essential support to those at the frontline of the current health crisis. It follows a request to Australia from the Royal Government for specific assistance to meet the challenges presented by the virus. The unprecedented scale of this crisis requires us all to work together to protect our health and shared prosperity, Mr OFarrell added. Bhutans Ambassador in India, Maj. General V. Namgyel, conveyed the deep appreciation of the Royal Government of Bhutan for the generous provision of the PPE. He said His Majesty The King and the Royal Government are working to ensure the health and security of all individuals in the country and are resolved to not lose a single life to the pandemic. The solidarity and assistance extended by Australia to Bhutan in the fight against the COVID-19 virus will always be remembered by the Bhutanese people.Ambassador Namgyel also thanked the Australian Government for the opportunities given to Bhutanese to study and work in Australia. Australia and Bhutan enjoy a warm relationship, built on strong people-to-people links and cooperation on international education. Australias broader bilateral support to Bhutan focuses on developing human resource capacity, building people-to-people linkages and strengthening tertiary institutions. Australia continues to support Bhutans current Five Year Plan towards a smooth transition from least developed country (LDC) status. Source: @Ministry of Foreign Affairs

17.01.2022 ARE YOU A TEACHER, PRINCIPAL, STUDENTS SERVICES COORDINATOR, YOUTH WORKER OR ANYONE HELPING OUR PERTH KIDS https://www.philbritten.com/school-tour If youve f...ound yourself reading here then theres a good chance that youre involved in the development and wellbeing for a wide range of youth. Todays society has dynamic and ever-evolving challenges for students and young adults as they make their way out into the world. Peer pressure, mental wellbeing, self esteem and fear of failure can be ever present challenges that are often dramatically intensified through the lenses of social media. Through our workshop feedback, weve found that many attendees have remarked about the impact that a lack of positive real world role models and having a clear direction to build a life of their own has had on them. We believe that these are two key elements needed during developmental years in order to nurture and encourage youth to become healthy and inspired adults. Adults who know their worth, as well as their purpose in life and who can make a productive plan to achieve it. Thats where we can help you... We want to team up with you to help encourage and inspire a generation of resilient and purposeful driven youth, with practical tools and can-do attitudes, who are ready to make their mark on the world. https://www.philbritten.com/school-tour
