19.01.2022 Mental Health Month was a month of awareness and promotion of care for ourselves and those around us. The reality of this year has been challenging and, looking back, can still bring up moments of challenging emotions and losses. Nevertheless, as we approach the end of 2020, reflective practices are a way for us to become aware of our own state of being beyond this month. Reflective practice begins when we are aware of our own state and take steps to bring ourselves into balance. It is only then that we may begin to offer real connectivity and engagement with others and the world around us. This is because reflective practice gives us an opportunity to settle into a fresh harmony and balance beyond Mental Health Month.

16.01.2022 Pause and Reflect: - Benefit At times, we have the capacity to focus a lot on goals, especially in this technological age of social media and status updating. 15.01.2022 Stress can manifest in several problems at work and/or at home, including lower productivity, connectivity and engagement. Reflecting what a year this year has been, who can blame us? For many of us, the holidays can be a challenge. Old memories or struggle tend to surface and resurface. For example, some might miss loved ones, some of us may not have achieved our goals, finished that project that was gazing at you the year before. Indeed, December acts as a reminder of yet a...nother year gone quicker than expected. Stress at the end of year around Christmas reduces wellness, motivation and mindfulness of what achievements and thriving that have followed. Christmas time has the habit of producing and increasing more stressors, even if it is related to positive events. Thus, end of year may need more stress management strategies to enable us to build, maintain, and improve relationship in both personal and professional setting. Being able to identify, recognise and acknowledge positive and negative stress is the first step in managing it.
