We have a client in Cessnock who is looking to undertake a basic receptionist course so as to enter the job market as she has only basic skills and little working experience using computers and in administration. You need to be RTO, course does not need to be accredited, just 6 hours per week A third party (workers compensation insurer) will be funding this course.... 13.01.2022 BEEN SCAMMED INTO GIVING $$$ RECENTLY??? Interesting new book out shows how we are so easily manipulated into giving away our cold hard cash we have worked so hard for... The con starts long before you hand over the money - scam artists play to emotions, not intelligence & prey on the vulnerable...... I recently uncovered a dirty scam where the creep was happily taking money from those that had just lost their job in the covid situation whilst setting up a legit fundraiser for himself... All with a smile (smirk) on his face... still... The Con is a true sales person, able to talk/ chat & friend you... These are the Professional Telemarketers - if only they would get their own job instead of swindling money out of yours... They'll create a history with you, message you, become friends... Like your posts, seemingly keep you in their "circle"... Ask for little things at first that cost nothing... Many scams begin by letting the victim win somethingbe it attention, affection, social acceptance, followings on social media... The Con may have famous / influential friends, or tell you they have! Watch out for photoshopping themselves amongst celebs!!! But then they're also needing you to think of them as flawed, needing YOUR help... A Con will then tell stories revealing their own anxieties, faults, and problems... Being down and out, bullied... And that's where you come in to rescue them... with your money bag... The Author states "I think we’re almost always active participants in our own conning. It’s scary how many times con artists don’t break the law at all. They didn’t steal; you willingly handed over cash. The whole premise of the confidence game is that they ask for your confidence, and you give it to them. We con ourselves as much as they con us, because we supply the missing links, we tell ourselves the story that we want to hear." 02.01.2022 Thanks so much for your interest in Personality Disorders which are so prevalent in our community and underdiagnosed: Symptoms of Paranoid Personality Disorder (PPD): According to the DSM-5, there are two primary diagnostic criterion for Paranoid Personality Disorder of which criterion A has seven sub features, four of which must be present to warrant a diagnosis of PPD:... Criterion A is: Global mistrust and suspicion of others motives which commences in adulthood. The seven sub features of criterion A are: 1.The person with PPD will believe others are using, lying to, or harming them, without apparent evidence thereof. 2.They will have doubts about the loyalty and trustworthiness of others, 3.,They will not confide in others due to the belief that their confidence will be betrayed. 4.They will interpret ambiguous or benign remarks as hurtful or threatening, and 5. Hold grudges, 6. In the absence of objective evidence, believe their reputation or character are being assailed by others, and will retaliate in some manner 7. Will be jealous and suspicious without cause Criterion B is that the above symptoms will not be during a psychotic episode in schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depressive disorder with psychotic features, A qualifier is that if the diagnostic criteria for PPD is met prior to the onset of Schizophrenia, it should be noted Paranoid Personality Disorder was premorbid (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). As always, please consult your GP, obtain a referral to a Psychologist or Psychiatrist... M
