25.01.2022 Some excellent tips in this article. Having some (flexible) structure to your day definitely helps.
24.01.2022 How are you managing your time and energy? The Pomodoro Technique is an effective way to get through your to-do list by keeping your focus on one specific task for 25-minute intervals, followed by a 5-minute break. When working from home with kids, this technique can not only be used to help manage your own work time but also be used to build awareness of time and independence in your children.... Pomodoro activity - Needs - 2 x 30-minute timers Set up or allow your child to choose an activity that they can work on for 25 minutes. Talk about the fact that you will both be working on your own activities until the timers go off. Together, set your timers for 25 minutes - a manual kitchen timer is best for younger children, as it has less potential for distraction than a phone or iPad, and turning the timer is great for building hand strength. Work (hopefully!) uninterrupted for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break together. The usual method for Pomodoro involves taking a 30-minute break after 4 consecutive 25-minute work sessions, however, depending on the age of your children, you may want to take a longer break after every second or third session instead. This is a great time to grab something to eat or get some exercise together. #pomodoro #timemanagement #buildingindependence
