Include stretching, lengthening & balance exercises. Give yourself time to breathe & re-align your body. 3. Get a daily dose of outdoors time. Let the sun on your face, the wind in your hair & the smell of spring re-vitalise your senses.... 4. Nutrition is key for energy. Too many carbs become sugars and leave you with energy hi's and lows. Plenty of greens, a range of vegetables, some fruits, lean protein and a dash of healthy fats will keep energy alive. 5. Practise positive thinking. Acknowledging negative thinking is the first step towards re-placing it with positive thoughts. Reach out to someone rational you trust or a professional if you need to talk. If you are struggling with how to ask someone how they’re doing, make a plan to go for a walk, once you get chatting and the small talk is done, the opportunity will present to really talk. Physical health is such a massive part of mental health and gives a great opportunity to talk, to get outside and do something to boost the moody blues. And..if someone asks you if you are ok, it means they care and it’s ok to say if you are struggling. If there’s no time for a walk and talk, a text message today will do the trick.
