22.01.2022 . Another amazing effort . A very impressive 14.5cm lost around her waist! Total if 43cm lost overall, she also has lost 5kg..although this is never a focus but is certainly a bonus & deserves recognition for a great effort of consistency & lifestyle changes .... These photos are taken 10 weeks apart . What she did... Followed a meal plan BUT like with most who already have healthy eating habits, she ate all the foods she already did prior to the meal plan...all we did was adjust portion control & increase/decrease some food groups She did both weights & cardio She still maintained a social life & went out for breakfast every weekend She has learnt how to maintain a sustainable result with portion control & the right exercise . No fads or quick fixes No detoxes or cleansers . Just good old hard work,consistency & trusting the process. You all achieved such incredible results, you not only made such impressive strength gains, you all are some much more confident within yourselves. . As you can see by the photos, I have not included any weight loss numbers. This is because I am trying to educate people...not only women, that you do NOT need to measure a positive fitness/health result by a number on the scale. . 20.01.2022 . With the year slowly coming to end , I think we can all look back on 2020 & feel a little exhausted, maybe defeated or maybe you came out the other end with something to celebrate . What I think we can all agree on is that this is Not the year to get Everything we Want BUT to appreciate everything we HAVE .... 19.01.2022 . . What I’ve learnt from this pandemic & lock down so far... . We over spend on things we don’t really need... We can be a lot more productive with our time, when time has been restricted People’s true colours show in situations like these...good & bad You can do without a lot of things that you initially thought were essential You learn to be even more grateful for who is in your life & what you have Realising the situation you in...is probably the situation someone else wishes they were in Being positive on the daily is Hard! Being consistent is even harder BUT if you are...you so much more productive & happier Keeping active is an absolute ESSENTIAL...even more so than before My body is loving me for getting extra sleep...something I will try hard to maintain when this is all over I absolutely love my job..I absolutely love it even more now & so grateful for my amazing clients & friends! I’ve also come to realise how inessential highly paid sports people & actor/actresses are...or insta famous people, all those that play no role in helping in a time of crisis. The real heroes are those on the front line, yet they don’t get anywhere near half the pay or recognition...something very wrong with that. . 19.01.2022 . . Fitness looks different on everyone...This is something you have been hearing me say for years..as well as...numbers on the scale do not define you.. . So what does that mean??... . Numbers do NOT define your fitness level Numbers do NOT define your strength Numbers do NOT define your happiness . Wow! If I defined any of that from the scales I’d be sitting in a corner rocking goodness, I only dropped 4kg during one of my preps, yet my BF% was single figures...this is just one example of how distorted numbers can make someone feel. Lucky I have never really been bothered by scales because I know strength, lean muscle mass & a healthy BF% is far more important. . YES most people especially women find this extremely HARD & it’s so much easier for someone else to just say don’t let numbers define you or get to you . I’ll always be honest..it’s something you have to work on constantly & the Best advice I can give & what I tell ALL my clients...find the weight/size you are happy & comfortable with...that is your size . A size you don’t have huge weight fluctuations with, a weight your body stays at comfortably with regular exercise & balanced 80/20 nutrition. . 17.01.2022 . . Here’s a little story of progression through effort . So Nathan has been my client for a long while now. I would like to call Nathan one of my lifestyle clients he trains because he likes to maintain a relatively good physique, while keeping his very social,social life & he’s always be honest about it and that’s absolutely fine.... . Then came COVID & to keep himself busy he decided to take up the online training with me while we were all in lockdown...I wasn’t confident he would stick to it but to my surprise & his actually, he smashed it, never missed a session, he actually did extra . Out of lockdown we came & the momentum has continued & in a couple short months he is benching 125kg, this has always been a goal of his but he never fully committed himself, he always sat around the 90kg bench mark. He even said a couple weeks ago...so this is what you mean by staying consistent & getting results yes Nathan after several years , this is exactly what I’ve been banging on to you about. . 16.01.2022 . This may not be directly fitness related and more life related but at the end of the day they both go hand in hand so I thought why not shed some personal life experience on this . I’ve never really been one to care what people think, as a kid I was always the girl who danced and sung with a hair brush in front of my family giving them a show As a teenager, even though I came across as shy and quiet I still did what I wanted to do, I dressed in clothes I liked...not what ...was fashionable I was the girl who showed up to the party in a tight fitting superhero t shirt & fur jacket....I did what others wanted to do but were to scared too incase they got laughed at or didn’t look like the rest of the groupies. I always stood up for myself and others that may have been to scared to stand up to a bully, even though back then I was a tiny little weed I was never scared. . The point of this is that I understand some of, if not most take a long time to figure all this out...to be confident, stand up for themselves, speak their mind and just be who YOU want to be! But there is no better time than now! . When you STOP caring what others think...is the day you WILL feel ultimate freedom and happiness . Don’t get me wrong there have definitely been times that I doubted myself, my confidence and direction but I’ve stood by my decisions and deep down I know I’m strong,sometimes you will need to give yourself a pep talk and that’s ok stick by your values, stay in your own lane, value yourself. THIS IS YOUR LIFE! So live it YOUR WAYstop missing out on opportunity because you scared of failing and looking like a failure to others. . It doesn’t matter if you 18 or 50 yrs old...if you want to wear those thigh high boots or cowboy hat, you do it! You have something on your mind..say it! . Always speak the truth but be open to other opinions ...there will be those that can’t handle it but it’s only because truth often sounds like hate to them.Those that can’t handle your opinion it’s only because they not Mature enough to realise everyone is entitled to their own . 16.01.2022 . How to be successful in Life! . 1. Remember everyone measures success differently 2. Stay in your own lane... 3. Be REAL!! Like...honestly real! So many on social media claim being Real but are the fakest of them all or the MOST inconsistent 4. Be consistent 5. Work hard! There’s no such thing as a 8hr work day if you want to achieve Big! 6. Put your money into things that either make you money or WILL make you money. This does NOT include materialistic things, like cars, clothes etc 7. Stop buying things you cannot afford! Most ppl driving around in expensive cars etc ...most of the time those cars are all on lease & they normally have huge credit card billsStop being fooled by outside appearances. 8. Again..if you can not afford it! Do not buy it....slapping it on to plastic is a Fools mentality 9. Stick to a savings plan, just like you have to stick to a training plan to get Results, do the same with your savings - it all works the same. Some weeks you might need to go without certain luxuries but sacrifices need to be made sometimes . Always be willing to learn & help others 11. Don’t reply on anyone, become more independent 12. Make sure you enjoy life but plan for the future. Don’t YOLO through life...I’m yet to meet one successful person who Yolo’d it. This also means giving up the ‘I want’ ‘I deserve’ attitude. . Again...I repeat! stay in your own lane, be consistent...it works. You do you, know what you want & where you going & go for it! . 15.01.2022 I think over the years of training, good nutrition & discipline...you teach yourself resilience, you become aware how much your body can take & how hard you can push yourself to get to where you want to be. . . I’ve learnt over the years that not everyone has the ability to do this, some shy away from being uncomfortable, some hate the feeling of change & pushing that threshold BUT there is also those who just don’t know what they capable of or how far they can actually go. .... The ones who get the results, the ones who reach their goals are those that have this grunt in them. They the focused ones, the ones that push the boundaries, those that embrace pain & look a challenge head on. . It’s never going to be easy, it’s never going to be comfortable but that feeling of being one of those that just gets it...is a feeling of no other, the feeling of sustainability . 14.01.2022 . This is a very scary but a very true statistic...actually it’s probably worse atm . It’s also only going to get worse with new age parents not getting active with their kids & crazy busy lifestyles, children are left to be kept occupied with iPads, video games & tv. .... I was talking about this with a client just last week, I was down at the river & saw not one couple but multiple couple (young) not even able to run after their kids, some had their grandparents doing it cause they were overweight that is a sad situation, if you not going to bother doing it for yourself, at least do it for your kids. . Unfortunately most of the time overweight kids turn into overweight adults...it’s not the child’s fault either, it’s all taught behaviour. Carbohydrates are one of the key nutrients & the bodies preferred energy sources...carbs are the fuel that keep the body going. Just like a car needs fuel , so does your body. . They are essential for cognitive function & providing the body with necessary fuel & stored energy. . When you eat carbs, the body breaks it down into Glucose before it enters the blood stream . 01.01.2022 You know...I’m getting a little over people trying to blame bodybuilding diets or meal plans for their weight gains or uncontrolled eating habits! . Just be HONEST...you have no discipline or sense of control because that’s exactly what it is and you know what...it’s ok, it’s ok that you not discipline enough to reverse diet or avoid temptation when you have already over eaten. . You are only putting on weight or have gained weight because you are eating too much, pretty... simple. . Remember bodybuilding is an extreme sport & it certainly is not for everyone but don’t blame bodybuilding or competition plans or even just your gym goer body builder plans for your short falls, you are always in control. . I also get there are bad coaches out there but if you feel something isn’t right then you should ask questions or research better coaches. . But STOP blaming a sport & meal plans because you weren’t disciplined or patient enough to get your results. I see this happening so often now on social media, influencers who have done maybe 1 show or someone who has tried a meal plan & training program in the goal to look like a bodybuilder & they have failed...the first thing they do is blame, it’s because of this & that ...is why I’m now overweight or put on all this weight. . Own your shit, stop over eating . Here’s so tips if you are stuck or really trying Don’t cut food groups out in daily life or if you maintaining If you prepping, your diet shouldn’t be extremely limited but it will be restricted...it’s an extreme sport Fuel your body correctly for what you want out of it You want to loose body fat...you have to be in a calorie deficit...Fact You can not be in a calorie deficit forever If you overweight...you eating too much .
