25.01.2022 Working from home requires discipline. * Set work hours * Take appropriate breaks * Walk around the house. ... * Keep up your step count, if that’s what you are doing * Clean your keyboard/phone * Pin positive words around your work area Stay safe this moment too will pass. Nothing is permanent, not even the breath we take. A quote from my next book I am working on. Be reassured we can achieve our goals and dreams when we believe in them.

25.01.2022 Now is the time to prepare for a very busy year ahead. Pre-empt, take action, and deflect any possibility of workers being stressed, juggling work life balance etc. Take this opportunity and show the workers how much you do care. They are your best asset.

25.01.2022 Mind and body work together. Keep one active and the other one will be active too. Nothing like a head roll to release tension and increase energy. It's up to you. My quote for today. "Can lives and Can't, so of course you can"

24.01.2022 Start your week off with a positive thought. It will set you on the correct path for the week ahead. "It's great to be alive" this is alway a great thought.

23.01.2022 Now is the time to take action. Victoria is in lockdown again. Our thoughts are with you. But have you thought Covid-19 might just be an opportunity to rethink our values and what we would like in our lives after this is all over. We know when we take time to sit quietly and still our minds, many great ideas will be presented. We can look at this time as an end or a beginning. I am not saying "This is the best time in everyones life" It is NOT however doing nothing is far m...ore debilitating than doing something, anything that is positive. some suggestion. Meditation, think our how you breath and how you can breath more efficiently, take on online yoga class or learn something new. If you have never painted or sang now might be the time to have a go. "Open your heart and let the sunshine in. In abundance." Stay safe and be kind to yourself a little more each day. See more

22.01.2022 Happy Easter to all. Staying home shows your loved ones how much you care about them.Happy Easter to all. Staying home shows your loved ones how much you care about them.

22.01.2022 Can a workplace have it own unique body language? If so does yours? I suggest that the water fountain chatter, a snippet on the stairwell or a muffled comment in the lift are indeed a part of workplace body language. Each and every organisation, large or small has its very own unique body language. The longer you are employed in any business, you will learn to interpret your workplace or businesses body language more accurately and greatly benefit from it. Often it is not... what is said but what is NOT said that can hold significant weight. It would appear from seemingly uninteresting, unimportant and quite frankly, sometimes unnecessary droplets of information, that will give the employee an insight to what is REALLY going on at their work. Inadvertently, you might learn about a promotion you can apply for or maybe the company is looking to pivot in a direction more alined to your work ethics. Lasting friendships can be formed in the workplace that may not be possible in other situations. The reason can be as simple as an energy, a feel, just something, whatever you wish to call it. Because of the Covid-19 we have been asked to work from home as much as possible. This is acceptable for everyone’s wellbeing. Some have loved working from home. Some have hated working from home. But we have done it to the best of our abilities. And done it well. Now there seems to be a considerable amount of chatter as to how our workplaces will look in the future. There are suggestions that working from home enables a worker to develop a more personalised schedule. Such as, working around the family, more time efficient, less stressful even the advantage of less traffic on our roads and less congestion on our public transport. What with Zoom, Skype etc we can stay connected with our fellow workers, catch up on meetings, be more productive, even Friday after work drinks. However, what I am hearing from many is they cannot wait to be let loose from home, Get out of the house, Have a more normal existence. statements like, I cannot wait to return to my work place, work and home are merging into each other, not sure what is what any more. Not being surrounded by fellow workers, can have a huge effect on our mental health. Not to mention feelings of isolation, left out, being alone as well as being lonely. I am sure this is not what we want for ourselves or our fellow workers. Human contact is more important today than every before. Be careful for what we wish for. Have I successfully suggested that body language at work is much more important and influential to us than we can possibly have imagined? If you would like to learn more contact: mailto:[email protected]

21.01.2022 Working from home needs discipline. If at all possible, set out your day by the hours you will be working. Post a schedule on the fridge so everyone knows what your hours are. In your daily schedule don’t forget to take time out for all important breaks. If you are the person that becomes engrossed in your work, you may need to set up an alarm system to remind you. This week’s Officise made easy at the desk is a little something for our eyes. T...he curve is flattening, so we will want to see clearly the light at the end of the tunnel. Rub palms together to create warmth. Cup hands over closed eyes. (Remove glasses if wearing them) Allow the warmth to soothe and relax tired, strained eyes and still the mind. (Quote by MT. I didn’t believe this would work but I am now a true believer. I do it several time a day. Thanks it’s a great help.) Another quote from my new Carook (card/book) Soar upwards like an eagle and see what heights you can reach Enjoy your day. Plan to be productive.

15.01.2022 Today we all received some positive news. Covid 19 seems to be slowing here in Australia and our governments are suggesting some restrictions may be lifted. This is a welcomed announcement. However extreme caution must be take if we, as Australians, do not wish to follow in the foot sets of other countries. Covid 19 or not, we need to make a great effort to continue to respect our health and wellbeing. Quote for today: Life is like a stage production without a dress r...ehearsal. Give it your best shot. Todays exercise at the desk is another eye exercise. As we all do more and more work using technology our eyes need to be exercised more than ever. To start with, sitting up straight, head still and eyes focused at a point in front of you. Only your eyes move. Trace the infinity sign by starting from centre point. Moving the eyes to the top left, then the bottom left, across to the top right moving down to the bottom right. Completing the movement by returning to the centre point. Repeat in the opposite direction. Move through all quadrants slowly and with though of what you want to achieve.

14.01.2022 CANCELATION: Due to the Coronavirus we have made the very difficult decision to cancel both Automatic Writing workshops. Melbourne 26th April and Bendigo 7th June 2020. We will look at running these amazing workshops when things settle down. It is everyone’s responsibility to work together and help each other. This is an opportunity to unite, share and care. In the light.

13.01.2022 We can make working from home very successful and it might even be something you will choose to continue to do. But we need to do a couple of things to make it work and work well. Dress as if you are going out to work. This will help to keep you focused on the job at hand. Also it will help to differentiate between work hours and home hours. Change the way we speak and think. Look to and speak from a positive perspective. Eg: In preference to I have to work from home.... I am in lockdown/isolation. Reframe it to something like, I am working from home now, as it is the safest thing to do for myself and others. Remember to take set time brakes and do your at the desk exercises. The chest openers will help to prevent stiff neck, sore shoulders and will allow you to breath easier. The quote for today: Our blessings come in many shapes and sizes; the trick is to recognize our blessings. Take care, stay safe,

13.01.2022 We can see this time as a disaster or we can see this time as an opportunity. Very darkened cloud has a silver lining. Look for the silver lining. We may need to look long and hard but it is there. Many breaths give great answers. Breathe deep. Stay safe, stay isolated. This is a new beginning.

13.01.2022 As most of us are working from home, it is more important than ever to keep up our exercises at the workstation, no matter what that looks like. So here is an exercise we can all do to keep our fingers flexible and pain free. enjoy and just a little quote to lighten the mood. Stay safe everyone "Stop and gaze upon the beautiful flower. Immerse yourself in the magic of its beauty. The beauty of the birds playing in the uplift of the wind, the little ants busying themselves coming and going. When we drink in the magic of nature, a veil of calmness floats down around us making all thing O.K again."

11.01.2022 According to Chinese medicine it is not good to have cold brinks or anything too cold for that matter. It will heat the body up, not cool it down. Try it, you might benefit from it.

09.01.2022 Posture breakdown is rising fast for the work at home person. We have heard so much, and rightfully so, about mental health, diet, staying connected via a range of various methods. But have we forgotten the importance of our posture at the work station, what ever that might be. In my booklet Officise Made Easy I speak about the importance of very good posture for the body and of course when we look after our body, we in turn, look after our minds.... No matter where we work from, if we sit with the laptop on our knees and sink into a soft nonsupporting couch or chair it will have a devastating effect on body, mind and soul, just the same as if we slouch at a standing desk. Our breath will be compromised, this leads to lack of energy and motivation. The same can be said for bad posture. With bad posture we don’t only suffer from fatigue but from neck, shoulders and back pain. This doesn't not need to be the case. The greatest relief you will have for your body is to choose a suitable site for your work station and at various times stop and take Body/mind Action Todays body Action is a Cardio workout: Sitting on a safe secure chair. It is always wise to check the locks are on or that the chair is unable to move. Hold onto each side of the seat or the arm rest. Move the feet up and down of the floor as if you are running. Do this several times. Remember to breathe. Enjoy. For more info mailto:[email protected]

03.01.2022 Health problem from working at home: Covid 19 has just given us an opportunity to expand our horizons. An opportunity to be more creative, and for some pivot in a new and exciting direction. We are moving very fast into a new and uncharted world in which we work, live and play. Working from home had started to became a trend prior to covid 19. The longer we are working remotely, the more I hear about neck, shoulders and back pains. Not to mention the headaches, over eati...ng, distractions, so on and so forth. I believe many people will want to continue to work remotely because of the convenience and with so many new platforms coming on stream, it is so easy to conference call, video connect and it is becoming easier keep in contact with your fellow workers as new and exciting IT options are being rolled out. To pivot our work direction without warning can be the greatest gift we have been given. However for some it is not so easy to accept and implement. This off course is understandable as we are all different and accept challenges with different mind sets. 01.01.2022 We are entering a new stage of returning to work and working from home. This can lead to anxiety, insecurity, stress and of course the unknown. What will work look like in the coming days, week, months and even years. Now is the time to take steps to take great care of ourselves. It is so easy to think we have to put in longer hours, work harder, juggle home, work, children and the all important catch up with family and friends. At this point of readjusting, it might feel like and mouse on a wheel, just going around and around with no exit point. Follow these very simple exercises daily and you will be amazed at how they will reduce stress, tension, frustration etc. Quote: Youth is filled with blessings of knowledge, direction, dreams and aspirations. Always think young.
